  1. Well, my first consultation is tomorrow! My surgon only lists The Gastric Sleeve not the Bypass on his website so I'm not sure what options I will have!

Yes, I'm going to drill him goo lol. I may have to have surgery for my reflux before anything can be done. My ENT mentioned something about a nerve being separated to control acid? Also does anyone know how stomach polyps affect surgery? I know from past EGD's that I have severe stomach polyps as well. My gastroenterologist removed a couple of the large ones and they were benign so he said it was normal because of the reflux medication. I saw the scope and my whole stomach looked lime it was filled with brocolli.

I'm getting the bypass on the Feb. 17th. Last year I was referred to Mayo Clinic for my severe GERD. in hopes of a revision to my Nissen Fundoplication, but surgeon says at this point the Roux-en-Y is my only option to divert the acid.

Well I saw the surgeon finally yesterday. He says that he still wants to do the sleeve. He says I may have a hietal hernia and if so he is going to repair that as well at the time of the sleeve. He said he only does the bypass in patients who have cancer. He is very pro sleeve.
