I feel your pain. pizza is my downfall too. I haven't started my pre op diet yet but I'm sure it will be a challenge. When is your surgery? Mine is scheduled for March 18? Stay strong. We got this!!!!

I also have Aetna and my NUT told me if I gained even 1/4 lb Aetna will not approve me. Not sure if she told me this to scare me or if it's true. I had gained 5 lbs.

I also have severe sleep apnea. I got my cpap last aug and i have to say its the best sleep i've ever had. Before i was always tired and would take like 2 hour naps everyday. I have no problem sleeping with the machine. I was set up on a ten month billing cycle where my ins co (Atena) pays for most of it. My payment is $11. Per month. After that the machine is mine.

I did a home study first and my heart stopped 97 times in one home. This lead to an over night study at the hospital. I think i would seek a second opinion. Like i said above i'm still waiting for approval. My bmi is like 37.

I also have Atena. I am on meds for high blood. According to my surgoen Atena wil not approve for this only. I have sleep apnea and use a cpap. This should be my in but i have not been officially approved yet. Good luck to you.

Has anyone used Dr. Suen Sowemimo - Central Jersey Bariatrics in Freehold, NJ?

I gained 5lbs after my consult with my surgeon. At my second NUT appointment I was down 4lbs and she proceeds to tell me if I'm not at least at or below my starting weight my surgeon has on record Atena will not pay for the surgery. Thankfully I have until March 3 to at least lose a few more lbs.
