Pre-op: 347.5 Surgery day: 339.5 Today: 217.8 129.7 lost! Not sure where I want to end up, my RWR is between 150-170. I'm still "obese" according to charts and it pisses me off!

I had my surgery 15 months ago and I have lost 133 lbs, we are building our dream home, a log cabin and I was climbing the ladder (something that I couldn't do before at 334 lbs) to look in the loft and my husband took this photo, sometimes I still can't believe it's me, the first pic is on surgery day.

I was sleeved 12/30 and I just had 4 oz of delicious blended pea Soup. I worked out 1 hour yesterday and I'm in good spirits and energetic. I do not do those sweet shakes. I drink goats milk, buttermilk and kefir. That Protein is more digestible and absorbs at a higher rate. I'm into building strength and energy! I'm loosing 1-2 pounds a day.

My nut has me adding 1/3 cup powdered nonfat milk to all my Soups, yogurt, skim milk etc which adds 8 g Protein to everything I add it too. I also like carnation no sugar added instant Breakfast with 1 cup skim milk and 1/3 cup powdered milk. 21 grams protein and I like it better then Protein Shakes. I also get 12 grams of protein in yogurt and after adding the powdered milk its 20 grams protein. I can't tell the powdered milk is in anything unlike the Protein Powder which leaves a taste even when its unflavored. I hope this helps you.

I'm 2-days post op (surgery was on Tuesday, 1/6). I didn't have any pain when I woke up. I was really nauseous, though. They kept me in recovery a little bit longer than expected to get that under control, but they did. When I got to my room, I slept for a bit and when I woke up, I felt "ok". Again, no pain (toradol is GREAT!), but very sore. After the first trip to the bathroom, and walked a lap in the halls, felt much better & only got better from there.
Everyone's experience is different, but overall mine was pretty good. A little nausea when I woke up, but no pain.
By the evening of surgery I was up & around & feeling pretty good.
Now, the drinking part... when you sip, you feel it hit your stomach, and you get a little "twinge" that lasts about 2-3 seconds, but then it's gone. You get used to it, and today at 2-days out, it's much better.
Don't stress over it, because the whole experience is over relatively quickly and the nurses will definitely take care of you. If you have nausea or pain, they will be prepared to give you something!

My first impressions out of surgery was immense pressure in my chest. I never really felt any pain in my sleeve or the incisions. But the gas pressure had me hitting the pain meds button like I was trying to win a prize on a game show!!!
Until I had done the leak test, they didn't give me anything to drink except ice chips. When I did start drinking Water, I could only drink a thimble full at at time.
I was in and out of the hospital and on the way home in about 30 hours.
