    When someone asked me the other day what my favorite food was I knew the answer right away...

    I just love the stuff! I am a big fan of it all. When I first started going to Japanese restraunts I only ate the "California Rolls" because I was so afraid of the raw stuff.... Now I am a full blown sushi junkie! I start off my meal with a delicious bowl of Cucumber soumono (spelling)



    See below:







    It is refreshing and tangy as, I think they marinate the cucumber in it overnight. It is usually topped with crab and "tako" also known as octopus! YUMMO!







    The next course I order is the beautiful RAINBOW ROLL ...



    The roll is usually a combination of crab, cucumber - tuna, yellowtail, shrimp, salmon, avocado, layered outside. At the sushi restraunt I go to I have the sushi man dress up my roll a bit more (as if it should be the roll in itself is a meal and is usually $15) with a drizzle of a "sweet" sauce, which kind of tastes like teriyaki, and on top of that crumbled macadamia nuts - "Big Island Roll" is what I call it.

    All this sushi talk is making my mouth water! I am sipping on a "Premier Nutrition" protein shake at the moment and it is not too shabby.



    You can guess what I am craving now for lunch....

    I know it is has been far too long since my last post... I am doing very well. I am feeling great about myself and been choosing activities that burn more calories! I play on a co-ed basketball on the weekend, I go skiing at our local ski resort, I use the elliptical on the weekends... I just am being a more active person. My fill is at 5.5 cc's in my 10 cc band so I am eating well. I can have about 2 eggs and reamin full for about 4 hours... great feeling!
    Most importantly, drum roll, I have a date this Saturday! We are going hiking... I will keep you all posted!

    I haven't been writing much, shame on me. I have been having a horrible eating week... My mini-weiner dog was hit by a car yesterday and died. So I felt it was a good idea to cheat... I had 6 ritz crackers with pepper jelly and a tall glass of white wine. Depressed. I need to get my butt moving and burn some calories! I am not sure what my weight is because I have not been weighing myself... it is frustrating to watch the scale bounce up and down between a pound. I am sure I am somewhere around 180 lbs... Until next time....

    I have never been so happy for my size 12 NY&Co jeans to be baggy on me! :rolleyes2: I have a pair of size 14 "Seven" Jeans and they fit well too! Ya.....

    So i had my fill, no big thing. haven't felt ANY restriction yet.... bummer. i have 3cc's in my 10cc band. sucky........................

    I am still at 185.5 so my weight loss has stalled. I get my first fill tommorow so I will let you know how it goes! Hopefully it will jump start my weight loss again! I am very excited about getting a fill, I have heard it takes like 4-5 fills to find your "sweet spot" so here I go! Round 1 ding ding!

    So my fear about having too much sodium, not enough fiber and lack of water was right! It was holding all this weight on me. After lowering my sodium consumption to about <1000mgs a day, getting about 25g fiber in and about 10 glasses of water... the weight finally came off! I weighed in at 186.5 this morning! Yaaaa.... I was stuck for about a week wondering what I was doing wrong! So take my advice, watch your SODIUM it is the devil!:eek:

    I think I may have figured out what my problem has been! I have been eating at 850-900 calories a day, working out on the elliptical trainer for at least 20 - 30 minutes a day.... yaaadddaaa... well I was stuck at 190 lbs - right? Well, I started looking at my nutritional information on www.thedailyplate.com and my sodium consumption was through the roof! I mean am not supposed to go over like 2200mg and I was like at oh 4000 something! Ya, it seems I am eating all the wrong foods: ham, pickles, lunch meat, cheese, saleted nuts, olives all things with seriously high in sodium. In addtion to that I was not meeting my water requirement or taking in nearly enough fiber! HELLO! I was sabtoging myself! So I am taking it easy on the sodium, yesterday it was only 700mg and getting in all my water and fiber so we will have to see where next weeks weigh in takes me! Toodles
    P.S. I might as well as had a salt lick! Geez I am special!

    Ok. Here it goes let me explain my dilemia. I stuck at 190 lbs. I mean stuck. And it is really pissing me off. I have a body bugg, I track all my food to a tee and exsercise daily. I always have a deficet of at least 1300 and I did not lose a pound this week in really bothers me. I have yet to have a fill but it scares me that I am only eating like 850 calories a day, exerscing for at least 30 minutes of the elliptical trainer and I still don't see a loss. Very frustrating.

    :faint:Went to my 3 week post op appointment yesterday. Boy was it pointless. I drove an hour and a half to get there and basically all he did was chew me out about how little weight I dropped. I consider 10 lbs in 3 weeks a good thing but he didn't. He said, "Well it looks like you strayed off the liquid diet..." I said, "yes - i was starving"... Apperantly that wasn't a good enough answer. Then he told me I probably made my band slip... He bascially scared the crap out of me and made me feel so defeated when I left. So, here I am so scared even to eat 1/4 cup of cottage cheese in fear of screwing up my band! HELP!

    Ok who has tried to eat chicken breast in the morning? I have and PB'd until I thought there was nothing left in my stomach! Yuck! I then had chili for lunch which was way easier on the band. I jus had a afternoon snack of prunes and wasa crisps. Oh my...

    I am not sure if I have lost any weight here lately... I just haven't gotten on the scale. I have not been binging or anything I just have been stuck at 192. So, I am going to let the BodyBugg do its magic for a week and see what happens. I have been eating at right around 900 calories and have been working out for at least 30 minutes a day on my elliptical trainer. I still have trouble with my BM's so it looks like I am going to incorporate some prunes into my diet - like it or not. I purchased some Smooth Move tea and it seems to help but not what I would like. I have my 3 week consultation on January 7th so I will see what my doctor has to say. Until then...

    So today is the first day I am wearing my Body Bugg on my arm... I had no idea I burn a calorie a minute in my sleep... My motto used to be (pre-band) was: "If I am sleeping I am not eating" so that is why I slept so much! Ha... That is a pretty lame excuse for being so lazy don't you think? It was kind of confusing to set up on my work computer, I also want to set it up on my computer at home so I could plug it in right before I went to bed... Just to see...
