  1. Heck....I'm not even sure where my stomach is anymore? haha I slso have no problem drinking regularly like I used to. I don't have to "sip" as they said I would.
  2. Thanks! Babbs....I was also starting to wonder if my doctor did the surgery! lol But I guess the 6 incision sites mean he did!
  3. I'm 2 weeks post-op and have just added a few soft foods (eggs and soft cheese) to my full liquid diet. I'm not sure if I've ever felt "full" yet. I've never had nausea, never thrown up and was just wondering if that feeling comes a bit later when I start eating more "real" food? Not that I want to feel anything horrible but I guess I was just wondering what it actually will feel like?

    Protein drink ideas

Have you tried Pure Protein's Vanilla Cream? It's yummy!
  5. I'm 5 days post op and am on Protonix...haven't had any indigestion problems at all
  6. I didn't have anything over mine...band aids or steri strips. Sounds like it's just glue residue
  7. I know most people talk about stitches but my incision sites were "super glued". I'm day 4 post-op and they look great but it's like there's a circle (maybe the glue?) drying up arond each site. Like maybe it might just peel off? Anyone have any experience with this?
  8. I wore the hospital gown the first night and then the next day when they said I could go home, I took a shower and put on my own comfy clothes. (no bra! haha)

    Diabetes?

I have type 2 and know what you're going through. 80 is normal (for people without diabetes) but your body is not use to such a low and that's why you're feeling bad. Check with your doctor about what would be most appropriate for you to bring it back up a little so you feel better. Hang in there! We're still trying to figure out the best combo for me. It'll take a little time

    Leak Test

I'm sorry that they didn't tell you about it. She had told me sometimes it gets a little messy but fortunately my tongue wasn't blue

    Leak Test

I was just sleeved on Tuesday and found out right before surgery that my surgeon does a leak test with dye while I'm still under so if there's a problem they can go and fix it then. You know how all those people come in right before they wheel you back.....all introducing themselves? One was a surgical nurse whose job was to put a tube down my throat with dye so they could do the leak test. She wanted me to know that the dye was blue so not to freak out if I had a little blue on my tongue when i woke up. So therefore I was able to have ice chips and Water right away! I thought that was kind of cool

    64 oz of fluid

I was sleeved on Tuesday and I'm having trouble getting in all the water/fluids as well. I think I'm just afraid to drink too much as once? I decided to have my SIL go to the store for me and get those 5oz cups (Dixie Cups that people use in their bathrooms). If I can have one of those each hour in a 12 hour day (say 7-7) then I should be good. With the Protein shakes and SF drinks I should be good! Hopefully that will help!

    January Sleevers ❄️

Got my sleeve yesterday morning and home resting today. The doc was pleased with my liver shrinkage and said it took him just under an hour. Other than some pain and soreness on my 6 incision sites, I feel pretty good! I was fortunate not to have any nausea. So happy to now be post-op!!
  14. Thanks, ladies...good to know!
