  1. I have a Gi dr appointment but just wondered if anyone else has had this. I am 12 months post op. it is uncomfortable after i eat food for 2-3 hours and then it goes away. But i don't want to eat much because of the discomfort/and pain sometimes. It also hurts to breathe really deep once the pain sets in. I haven not had any complications thus far. My surgeon is in Mexico so I don't have one here in Austin,,TX . Just seeing a GI dr for any problems. Never thought I would have problems 12 months out. Weird

Disappointed in post-op loss so far

I hear ya. I have gained 1 lb and I am in a 33 day stall. What @@Kindle said was very rude, could have been said in a compassionate manner. I have noticed people on this forum are very rude to one another, we are all on the same journey and many are on different paths of it, lets give some support and not be so rude. you can Facebook friend me if you want. I am a very good supporter and don't judge. I can lend a good ear.

    February sleevers

I was sleeved 12th, body is feeling weird. My stomach is a symphony of noises. It's weird. I don't think I am getting enough Protein in because I am weak most of the day after doing anything like taking care of my six year old. I sleep a lot I get my walking in I still have terrible diarrhea that I have to take Immodium for everyday I start purred foods monday. Hoping that helps with the energy level of getting more Proteins in other than that I don't look like a person whose had surgery. Can I get invited to the facebook group as well? Seems everyone's eating at different times and diffrent foods/broths/purred foods that their dr says is good. WEird i have to be on 10 days of Clear liquids only, 10 days of purred mushy food, 10 days of starting real tiny pieces of protein food, week 4 starts all normal food. Seems that all dr's should be on the same pge my facebook is kristen grant mcgill
  10. I'm starving too. 7 days post op. I'm so ready for purred soups and smoothies and protein shakes. I'm so weak from hunger I think. All I eat is why protein 46 grams 2 xs a day and broth 2-3 times a day. I'm tolerating jello well. So sick of it. I might try a protein shake sat. Tuesday I can eat purred foods. Every 10 days I get into the new phase. Seems awful long Everyone else is eating more food than my surgeon recommends. Kinda of weird.

    Time off post op

took 2 weeks off. go back next friday. but hoping to start a new job in fact next week because my job is high demand of walking and standing and just moving constantly.. not allowed to sit down
  12. I am 6 days post op and doing excellent The first 5 days were rough The first day was just awful, being in Tijuana where I had no idea what was going on because of the little English that was spoken was scary and I kept thinking what am I doing here. After a 8 hour travel day and plane ride from hell, I was whisked away into surgery and woke up and was like ok what's next. I was nervous all day then night came and I was puking blood clots which is very normal after surgery but I felt like I was going to die. Day 2, reaction to an iv medication that made he hot, red, and itchy. Kept telling dr's and nurses and no one would tell me what was going on till 10 pm that night. I am also on bi polar medications that I was withdrawing from till I could start swalloing pills again. So that made the healing process just awful fro 72 hours. But I did it Then days 4 home to Austin Texas Long flights home but I was so elated to get off that wonderful virgin airline ride home went to bed and slept for 8 hours after surgery i was up for 15 hours Monday I slept from 830-6 straight. wow that was so nice and today I am doing wonderful I feel so much better. Getting in my ensure clear drinks (1 a day) 8 grams of Protein, 2 cups of broth, 1.5 why protein shots of protein (46 grams of protein per 3.6 oz) loosing very little but i am still quite swollen and not excersising yet From January till today I've lost 18 lbs I am 202 and want to be 130 It'll happen as time moves on I have an interview today for a new job I am so excited how I feel I hope everyone else is doing better
  13. I am not going to miss having taking 2 showers a day and the sweating all the time. Not bumping my huge stomach into things all the time.
  14. I only have 3 days of yogurt and Water only starting tomorrow. I am more scared how I will function at a very physical job run around job for the next 3 days I keep having this conversation in my head, just get through these 3 days you can do it. I don't eat much when I am at work but when I am home I eat, eat, eat. Maybe I should just sleep as soon as I am home from work. I have read that people are dizzy and light headed on the pre op diet. I sure hope that doesn't happen to me. I am getting really nervous for this whole process. for the last 2 months, I have been looking forward to everything. Now I am in the final stages and I am scared. My surgery is in Mexico and the dr doesn't speak english and I don't speak spanish. Nor do the nurses. I just hope all goes well. Thanks for listening.
