"You can't get mentally healthy until...

I believe we have to hit an emotional or a physical low point to trigger an "awakening" , before true change can begin. When the physical and psychological work together, we can be most successful.
  2. I got my Traditional Blue approval on 6 days. Didn't even have to call and nag. I'm excited to have passed another milestone !!!!

    Gallbladder gallstones symptoms please

I agree with the above, and I seriously thought I was having a heart attack. Chest pain that rolls to the back, between the shoulder blades for me.
  7. I am facing the same challenge. My insurance requires that I am at or above a BMI of 40 when I am weighed prior to surgery. They say that with my insurance, surgery has been cancelled if the BMI dips below.

    Girl Scout cookie advice/suggestions

The only way I can cope is to tell myself I am allergic to them, and it is a matter of life and death. Thin Mints are a major trigger for me... frozen or room temperature. For me, there is no such thing as one.

    Reiki anyone?

I am a Reiki Master and encourage others to find out more. When I give a treatment to myself or a client, the energy returns to me two-fold. Reiki is an excellent way to center yourself and empower spirituality to contribute to overall health.
  10. I know every insurance company is different but.... I have severe osteoarthritis (pending total knee replacement) and high cholesterol. My sleep study is scheduled. I'm not sure if I have the co-morbidities required for a BMI of 35-39. I am working hard to adjust my eating, exercise... habits now. I was 271 at my first appointment with the PA. I am now 252. The PA cautioned me against going below a BMI of 40 prior to insurance approval. I'd hate to put brakes on my momentum. Without a diagnosis of sleep apnea, would my other two diagnoses qualify me for a BMI of 35-39 ?

    Back in the hospital.

Thanks for the update. We'll continue to send positive thoughts.
  12. I too am experimenting pre-surgery. I LOVE unjury... both chocolates, the strawberry and vanilla. They have a great sampler pack, where you can try first. Good luck !!
