    Coffee

Every doc seems different. At surgery he said one cup was ok but other docs same center said no to coffee. Out six months now and I enjoy an iced coffee with fat free sugar free creamer n sweet n low everyday. Come winter I'll switch back to tea.

    Stage 3 food question

I was told no raw vegetables for four months. Hard for the stomach to process. It was protein first everything else second. Been almost six months, I feel great and I can eat anything in small portions.

Iced coffee from home or any drive thru restaurant. International delights creamers I find in our grocery stores. https://www.internationaldelight.com/category/fat-free-sugar-free

Iced coffee...I have it everyday! I order it black with sweet n low and bring my own Sugar Free/fat free international creamers with me. I love the chocolate almond biscotti or Carmel delite. During the holidays they also have pumpkin spice. Yummy and basically carb free. Only 15 cals-keeps me honest and on track.

    January Sleevers ❄️

Got the boflex from my brother who wasn't using it for the whole family and can't say I used it a whole lot ever before but I really find it hard to go to the gym. Much rather walk on lunch and after work with dogs but it's up again and easy to use. They even have an online manual with pics (with motion) to show dummy's like me the correct way to do different exercises. Now I just need to get into the habit. Good luck with your journey!!

Wow. Glad everyone's doing so well. I've been on a stall the last 2-3 weeks but not getting me down. I know I just needed to back on track HW 276 SW 260 1/19 CW 220 Wish I was closer to Onederland but when I'm losing I'm losing steady 2lbs a week. Need to start weightlifting and had the boys put up the boflex in the garage. So far I've stared at it but I do walk 5miles a day come hell or high water at least 5 times a week. I love my Fitbit.

    ID bracelet

I also got mine from Lauren's hope. Didn't realize I may need one until the dr handed me the bariatric card for my wallet. Liked a the choices.
  9. Every doc is different but I was told no raw veggies until after 4 months. And I love salad!! But been afraid to give it a try.

Told I needed to stay on chewable for 6mths! Stickers up on the flinstones and caltrate chewables! I do take my daily thyroid med(small pill) and two melatonin each nite (small pills) with no problems. Dr said something about the large pill/multi vitamin sitting in your new tummy isn't good.

    Meat:(

The pressure cooker is a GREAT idea. I even looked for one after surgery since I think we threw out ours years ago! I have to admit I avoid dense meats or just have a nibble and been sticking with fish, pulled pork/chicken, etc.... Eating dense makes me tired? Is that odd? I think of it as my body working too hard to digest it. I still make the mistake of eating too fast from time to time and my body yells at me by making me feel ill and "stuck" for an hr or better. But heck! If that's what it takes to be a "LOSER"I'll take it! ????

    Post Op Protein

And don't worry. liquids and other squishy stuff will go down too easy but when you really get to solids you will focus on the Protein to get it in. I still have a Protein shake every morning (surgery 1/19). Just don't graze. I still follow a high protein low carb diet with a treat from time to time. Typical day is protein shake, cheese stick mid morning, Atkins or high protein lunch, yogurt or other afternoon snack and pretty much whatever the family protein item is with a spot of veggie for dinner. Good luck. No worries.

    Meat:(

Yes. But u HAVE to eat it slow, slower than you are now and chew chew chew. Your body will teach you but eating meats, crab meat etc too fast was the only time I felt yuck. Good luck! Surgery 1/19/15 for me.
  14. Same here. Sleeved only on jan 19th and have lost almost twenty in two months but I think 10 was the first week! I only average about 1-2 lbs a week but I'm not bummed as the scale is moving down and not up! At this rate I should hit the 100's by july! Hw276 Sw 259 CW 237
  15. I was sleeved but I stick with the south beach food program (mainly) low carb and high Protein. I still have a shake in the morning for Breakfast as I've never been much of a breakfast eater. Midday is a you girt or cheese stick and sometimes I have breakfast for lunch otherwise it's been a lower carb Soup since it's been so cold! Afternoon I still have my iced coffee w sf creamer and forget the snack 1/2 the time! Ugh. Night is protein whatever the family is eating. I pass on the carbs since usually I've had a serving at lunch. Tonight was a Pasta bar at home. I had a few shrimp, Italian sausage (only about a 1/3) and two small meatballs with sauce and parm. J was stuffed and shared with my dog!
