I feel hunger too. And just like you I can't eat much in one sitting but can easily resume an hour later. So I usually leave my chicken or whatever sitting out, munch on it a few more times, then put it away when I'm done for good. If I don't do that, I might go grazing for something unhealthy, and that's never good. But, no matter how hungry I get now, it is nothing compared to what I felt before the surgery.

Like u, I was also scared because of all I was reading. Well I am 9 days post op and was never nauseous nor have I ever thrown up! All people are different but if u follow the doc's instructions I'm sure u will be just fine. Eat slow

OK. So you all know how cold we get after this surgery, and I am no exception. In fact, last night I could not for the life of me, get warm. No amount of sweaters, p.j.s, socks...were going to do the job. I went to bed cold, but my fleecy sheets were great and got me all toasty warm. This morning I was all bundled in my bed when my puppies decided it was time to get up. I peeked my nose out of the covers, an arm soon followed. Then I thought to myself, "man, I can't still be cold, what's wrong with me, am I getting sick, or what?" I got out of bed and threw on a fleece top, heavy wool sweater, heavy pants, slippers that go up to my knees practically, and then donned mittens and threw a throw around me. "Gosh, I must really be getting sick. Seriously, it can't be this cold in here." I go to check the thermostat of the furnace, and it is blank. Oh No! Oh Yeah - it's not me!!! It's the furnace! Oh NO! I call the gas company and there isn't an outage. So what is wrong? is it me? Am I sick? I go to check the thermometer and it says 47degrees. Oh No, Oh Yeah!!!It's NOT me!!! It's the furnace! Oh NO!! What do I do? I call the furnace man, who tells me to check the batteries on the thermostat, turns out they were dead, and all I needed to do was install new ones. Note to self and anyone else...always check the furnace thermostat, it's not necessarily ME!

I like the show. Penny was...well a hard one to watch. I was angry at her for being so lazy. Prime example of you have to be ready for this no one can want it for you. I actually think this motivates me to do better..seeing the success and the fails.

I LOVE this show and can't wait for the new season to begin. The episode with Penny was by far the most difficult to watch. She is legitimately delusional. And I don't really care about her, but she has that beautiful little boy who doesn't deserve to have a mother like her. She is sick in her head and her husband is an enabler and I feel like that child is doomed with those kinds of role models in his life.

Take a bunch of photos of yourself and measure your body parts. Take the pics in the same outfit and in the same place (like in front of a door) to provide a good frame of reference as your weight loss progresses. I agree with staying off of the scale too. Good luck!

Ok a lil humor but have to know if anyone who has recently had the surgery are home thinking " hmmm, I'm still fat, but I KNOW I had the surgery" LMAO I.e. just waiting for the magic from the hard work to show? I'm 9 days post op and refuse to get on a scale. I don't intend on becoming obsessive with a scale. I just want to focus on doing this properly and see results. With that being said can't wait for 90 days out to see progress. Please share what u have been thinking.

OK, SO I thought it was just me. Because I'm 5 days out and I find myself hungry. My doc stats with full liquids so I do the Soups cottage cheese yogurt, Jello etc. So this hungry OFTEN feeling shall pass? Is that what I'm hearing? I hope so because I was beginning to believe the surgery didn't work for me...Lol

Remain calm and stay focused you can do this...yes it is hard. But just think in 3 months you'll be so excited and have an entirely new look and new challenges to battle. One step forward started the journey. Just keep on keeping on hugs of support!

Don't worry about the Protein, yet. My surgeon has me starting protein only at 7 days post op. The first 6 days is just liquid diet. Focus on hydrating and healing. And walk, walk......
