  1. Hi Everyone!

So glad to see everyone doing so well :)

I have lost a total of 101lbs since the day of surgery (Dec 16th) and a total of 123lbs total!

Here are five things that I'm so happy to be able to do since losing the weight:

I can shop at normal stores like H&M and Victoria Secret

    I can cross my legs

I can out-workout very in shape men in their mid 20s next to me on the elliptical at the same (or slightly lower) resistance

I have been feeling so much self-love and self-reflection in the past few months

I look forward to working out

  2. I"ve def still had a LOT of beer - just not as much of it.

Now I get tipsy from 2 instead of 6 - but other than that I can still have it - just gotta drink slowly!

As for the pizza, just limit yourself to one (or half - that's all i can stomach) of a slice at a time

  3. I don't think I realized how significantly overweight I was. I mean--- obviously seeing 335 at my heaviest on the scale told me that but I'm just still so surprised at how much that actually is.

I've lost 90 pounds - down to 245 in just 5 months. Yet, I still am a XXL and still am always the biggest person in the room and still feel HUGE. I know my face is different and I can FEEL lighter. But 90 pounds down and I still have at least 50 more to go which is WAY less than what i've already lost- yet I still feel HUGE.

  4. Hey All,

It's been about 4 months since I had my surgery, I'm down around 70 pounds since the pre-surgery diet. However, while 70 pounds seems like a huge amount, I don't feel like my body has changed as significantly as 70 pounds sounds.

My face has changed significantly but my body in general has not changed as much as I assumed it would. Before my surgery I could barely fit into a 3x and now I still shop about around a 1x.

I'm not sure if it's just because even 70 pounds down and I'm still over 250lbs and have way more to go - but despite the scale my belly and rest of my body don't feel like I've lost as much weight as i have.

Has anyone else had issues with their perception?

  5. Hi All -

I've started working out recently, and I'm having trouble adding strength exercises.

So far I'm just doing 40 minutes of cardio (elliptical)...

I cant really afford a personal trainer at the moment, so I'd appreciate any suggestions in terms of how to add light weights to my work out.

If you could tell me which machines and how many reps to do, or send me links or videos - I'd really appreciate it :)

  6. Hi All!

I'm almost 2 months out and I'm having a hard time making sure I'm eating enough calories. My job is incredibly stressful/time consuming so I'd like to have a couple of Snacks in my drawer so I can make sure I'm eating a little something every few hours.

I'd love any recommendations! So far I've been having 1/2 an oatmeal packet in the morning, a ham/cheese roll up for lunch, and then a string cheese. Then I go home and have a piece of chicken or fish. It only totals to about 500 calories.

So yes - any recommendations are appreciated! I seem to be able to tolerate most things but I'd love advice.

Also, I have only lost 3 pounds in the last month. I lost very quickly the first three weeks after surgery, and nothing since! Could it be because I'm not eating or drinking enough?

  7. Had surgery on 12/16, only have lost 20 since the surgery. I'm really frustrated since I haven't lost anything in a few weeks despite barely eating. I'm trying to move around and walk but I'm so tired/low energy that I can barely finish a day at work let alone work out. I'm feeling really depressed, I feel like this was a mistake. I'm only 22 and I feel like I've ruined my life. I know that being this upset at not losing for three weeks seems stupid, but I've been miserable and barely eating and I'm not seeing any results. I have been crying for the last two days feeling like I'm never going to get to where I need to be. I would appreciate any advice/suggestions.

  8. Hi all,

On tuesday I'll be 5 weeks post op. I was doing really great and lost about 17 pounds from my surgery on 12/16 till New Years.

Since the 1st, I have gained two pounds. I'm still not eating that much, and I'm walking around, taking my Vitamins, and trying to drink as much Water as I can.

I don't understand what I'm doing wrong. Could I be eating too little? Any suggestions to help me get out from this stall will be appreciated.

I'm feeling pretty unmotivated - this was such a big decision to do this surgery, and I'm worried that I made a mistake by choosing to do it.

  9. hey there lenora!

I'm in the same boat. I'm 4 weeks out, and i completely stopped losing weight. I actually gained 2 pounds.

but i'm still barely eating. i'm probably getting in 600 calories, 45 ish grams of Protein and yet the scale is stuck!

i'm hoping at my appt in 2 weeks i can start the gym again and maybe that will help --- but i'm not sure if i even have enough energy for that
