  1. I'm a month post op and actually stopped drinking soda 3 weeks before that, now I'm just want to grab a soda and chug it. It's completely random but crippling! Lol
  2. I'm a week away from getting my first fill and for about two days I have had some nausea but nothing major and haven't thrown up. I've wanted to though. I know the chance of a slip is rare as it is but could it be possible to happen even before my first fill? Just need some advice to rest my mind until I see the doctor. I've also noticed my appetite has increased over the past couple of weeks, is that normal too?
  3. My first fill is on valentine's day and I feel like I have less restriction than I did initially after surgery. I'm eating healthy but don't get full fast enough and end up over eating. I have yet to throw up, that's a small victory! Lol. Is this normal?
  4. I was told I couldn't have caffeine until a month after surgery, today I was cleared to have solid foods and start finding my balance with food but I'm told i have 2 more weeks left for caffeine...just curious if anyone else had this restriction and cheated? I want a good cup of regular coffee!!
  5. Awesome on the weight loss!

Was your incision where your port is stay sore for awhile? I'm kinda concerned that it still hurts after a week...
  8. My family just jumped on me for doing light vacuuming, I feel okay, just some slight pain on my port site (the incision not anything deeper) I didn't know I shouldn't have, could I have done damage? Possibly port flip?? I don't have my appt until Monday, trying not to freak out in the mean time.

    December 2014 Surgeries

I had my lapband on December 29, I'm in my puree stage of diet. I'm still in some pain, mostly where my port site is and I get tired pretty quickly. I have my post op visit on Monday, I may ask doc to give me one more week of rest before going back to work. So far about 20lbs down since pre-op diet
  10. I was not expecting this but my husband said it so it must be true! My belly is starting to hang a little lower and I can't work out...not really needed advice just venting :'(
  11. I have Bio Oil that I want to use on my incisions since my skin scars dark, almost purple. Any idea when I should be able to start treating?
  12. That's awesome! I'll definitely want to check in with you see if we're matching in progress! I'm happy to know I'm on track
  13. I'm glad you think so! I am so terrified of that sucker flipping on me and the pain being gone so quickly seems so out of the ordinary but I'm just letting my paranoia get the best of me lol
  14. Today is the first day I can get up from sitting down or laying down and not feel like my stitches are going to pop open, the gas is almost gone, I can breathe nice and deep without any discomfort. I'm so ready to start my puree stage and hopefully incorporate some light exercise into my day. Yesterday I was experiencing some pain and tenderness at my port site and today it's practically gone, normal?
  15. Sleeping in an upright position going on 5 days now, sooo ready to go back to side sleeping! :(

Tisty I really understand where you are at and did the same thing myself. 6 weeks later I now prefer the upright position!

Best of luck on your journey
