Treatment to prevent scars?

I have Bio Oil that I want to use on my incisions since my skin scars dark, almost purple. Any idea when I should be able to start treating?

    I would ask your doctor. Make sure your sutures are totally closed. Ask at your 7 day follow up

    I have been using Mederma, and it says as soon as incisions are closed to start.
