  1. I went there last August - I posted above about knowing 3 other people who had gone there. We have all had good experiences - was a great facility for all of us. Good Luck! Let us know what you decide!
  2. I had surgery 8/25/05. I had my first fill on 11/21/05. By end of November I was down 25# and that is where I have stayed. Through December I ate lots of sweets that went down so smoothly. I do feel I am restricted enough right now, but am not losing so I don't know. Before I get another fill I know I have to get rid of the chocolate and get up early for the treadmill every day. I am hoping that will get the pounds moving - if not, then I will get another fill. I just keep reminding myself that it is a tool - not a magic wand. Even though the first 25# felt like magic. Best of luck everyone!
  3. I had surgery 8/25 in MX and had this too - developed 3 days after surgery - I was scared as it was red, swollen, painful and migrating up my arm. I went to our family doctor and he assured me it was just an inflammation and would resolve on it's own. AND, he assured me that it would not result in blood clots killing me - which was my main concern. Now I can still see a little bruising but no redness or pain. If you are concerned, see a doctor - it will put your mind at ease.....and if it is something, they can help!
  4. My August Banded Buddies - my surgery is set for 8/25 with Dr. Covarrubias in Mexico. Scared but ready to get it over with! I am praying that everyone does well and that we have lots of success! /chris
  5. I know three people who have been to Bajanore since October '04 and they are all three doing great - they haven't reported any complications. I am scheduled for 8/25 - very nervous, but my best friend did it there - she is an RN at a hospital and was completely confident in the doctor, the facility, etc. We'll see! /chris
  6. Angie - I am also considering the Bajanor facility and Dr. Covarrubias as I know three people who have gone there with good results. What did you decide to do?
