Hi guys my date is jan 14 in Coral Springs fl northwest medical with doctor Wizman

I have my surgery on January 15th and go on my pre-op liquid diet starting on January 1st. I am very excited to start my new life! I am tired of being fat and in pain all the time. I have been eating light meals and a lot of Protein Shakes for a couple of weeks now, but the Protein shakes required for the liquid diet have less carbs, so I have to buy a different kind. The kind I have has 13 grams of carbs, the surgeon requires 2 or 3 grams. Big difference. I have had several surgeries, so I am not really afraid of not waking up from the anestesia, it is basically like going to sleep at home in bed. My surgeon seems extremely competent and I have no worries. I feel good about my choice.

Hello Everyone! I'm a January sleever too - except I'm all the way down here in Perth, Australia :-)
I'm booked in for January 16th. I'm excited, I'm nervous but I am so ready for this. I'm one of those people who puts everyone else's needs before my own and it's time to do something for me - this is my time! Its summer here and I can't wait to be able to buy clothes that don't have an elastic waist!!!!
I've been reading your posts about Protein Shakes and I'm not sure if we have the same brands as you guys, but I'll keep a look out for them.

@@mduffield Oh try propel or something with a lil dash of crystal light. It will help you kick start the Water and to be honest I gave up EVERYTHING else for two weeks except for Water so that my body in a sense would crave it and believe it or not it really helped. So now I have a nightly cup of tea and maybe a morning coffee otherwise just water.! You'll do great no worries.

Wednesday I have my endoscope!!! I just started a new job in September, was worried about taking time off for surgery. I just told my boss today that I'm having stomach issues. And will be required to have surgery in January. He was very supportive and I feel much better now that I've told him.

I am also going in January! My date is set for 1/16 in Mexico. I SO excited and nervous. I really would like to go NOW, but, I agreed to go after the holidays to make it easier on my boyfriend and family.
Where are you having your surgery done?

No one understands unless they go through this themselves. I am sick and tired of my family and their comments and afraid I will end up blowing up on them. Surgery was 10/29 I lost 25lbs in the first 3 weeks and stalled. Doctor says it's normal but on Thanksgiving a few family members asked my sister why I wasn't losing any weight yet. Then last night at a family gathering there were pork chops, rice, brownies a whole bunch of crap and I didn't have any, just ate my Protein pack and my aunts are telling me I shouldn't be eating cheese and had the nerve to say, 'You know you've been eating this stuff', I was boiling inside so badly but was saved by the doorbell. None of them have a clue about anything regarding this surgery and/or my body. How do I tell them all to shut the hell up and stop watching me in a respectful way because I'm ready to blow up on everyone. And the problem is my family has so many functions, I have to be around them so my daughters can participate also.

An the countdown begins....just over four weeks away. Start my three pre op appt next Tuesday for the next three weeks.
