  1. Just wondering how everyone is doing post surgical. So far, so good here. I will admit, getting my fluids in has been a struggle since it is sort of uncomfortable to drink (possibly because of the hiatal hernia repair) but I am trying with all of my might. I am getting my vitamins and proteins, so that is a huge plus! How is everyone else doing?
  2. Ok the drains coming out and the abdominal binder made a huge difference! Going home in a few.
  3. I must be a pansy, because the gas pains suck for me. It's day 3 and my shoulders are still in agony. On the bright side I have been up walking, my drains come out today, and I should get to leave later in the evening. Yay! I'm sure I'll feel better when I'm in my own environment.
  4. The nausea is bad, but I'm alive and it's only temporary so I'm ok. Can't wait to be past this and start feeling better though.
  5. Same here. The horrific snow storm isn't helping things. I already live an hour and 20 minutes from the hospital, and they're saying the roads are awful. I guess it's good that I'm not scheduled till 11:30 and it's mostly highway. Good luck today. See you on the flip side
  6. Good luck to everyone going in tomorrow. You'll be in my thoughts and prayers as we embark on this journey together.
  7. I never leave home without chapstick because I am an addict, but I added the slippers to my list. Thanks.
  8. Thanks for the tips everyone. Good luck to those about to start the journey. Well wishes to all of you.
  9. @@Nicole Cloud I do have plenty of shakes. I didn't think about the popsicles, but I will be sure to get some Saturday after work. Thanks for the tip
  10. @@taniaceli Mine is at 11:30 on Monday. I am glad to know I am not the only one who is scared. My husband is being a champ listening to me worry I'll keep you in my thoughts and prayers on Monday morning. Hope all goes well for you. PS My actual name is Kimberly. I haven't quite figured out how to display something other than the screen name.
  11. I am just a few days from surgery. I have my final appointment with the Dr in the morning. Barring any unforseen circumstances I will be having surgery Monday morning at 11:30. I am trying not to freak out, but that is easier said than done. Any last minute tips/stories that will help with the nerves?
