  1. Congrats Mel!!
  2. Andrea, generally UHC is one of the easiest to get approved, so hopefully you will be apart of the banded crew after the new year.
  3. I had my surgery on a Friday and went back to work the next Wednesday, I could have went back to work that Monday, if I would have had to.
  4. Thanks for the info Debbie, I am sorry that you had so many problems with your band. I hope you get to feeling better soon and that you are totally successful with your weightloss journey.
  5. Paula, glad to see that you and your lovely family made it through the storm.
  6. Congrats!!! You will be on your way to bandland in no time!
  7. Brenda, for every 8 oz glass of tea I drink I have to drink 8 oz of water and that has helped me increase my water intake. I know that it is hard...I have to really concentrate to get my water in. I also drink a 16 oz water on my way to work and on my way home. That way no matter what I know I have 32 oz down. It is easy, because I am in the car and it is easy to reach for my bottle.
  8. Thanks Pam for the info.
  9. Thanks Brenda!!!! I feel like I am coasting right now, since I am still on the creamy liquid phase, but I will take it! You are doing an awesome yourself! 132!!! Incredible!!!!
  10. I go for my first fill on 10/24 and I was wondering what how big your first fill was with the VG Band? also anybody out there have Dr. Benavides that received the VG Band on their first fill? I just can't afford to go every couple of weeks to get fills and such. Anybody?
  11. I started my process with the doctor and with insurance on 7/28 and I was approved on 8/12 with my surgery on 9/23.
  12. I am in!!! I need to lose 135 pounds. I wasn't sure if this for people that needed to lose the 100 pounds or for people that had already lost it.

  17. What Alexandra said is true...we tried for 8 years to concieve through artificial measures. Finally a super fertitlity dr told if I would just lose 50 pounds that might make all the difference. I did and before I knew it I was pregnant. So it might not be that hard. I wish you all the best in this, because believe me when I say...i know what you are going through and feeling.

  20. Hey Jean, I will be your support friend. My name is Keri. I don't even remember if anybody asked me if I had a support system or not. It wouldn't have mattered...I could have easily done the aftercare myself. That is what God made Taxi's for. Best of luck.
  21. Best of luck!!!
