  1. 1. Committed to losing 15 pounds by the New Year...still on track for this goal!! 2. Work on not drinking while eating....I have been doing this all week and have been very happy with my progress. 3. Walk at least 4 to 6 days a week, with some stomach crunches being added twice or more a week, starting 2nd week in November....I have been walking, but only getting 2-3 times a week, will continue to work on this goal.
  2. Congrats Krystal!! I was layed off and it took me over two years to find a good job, so i been down that road and know how important a good job is. Best of luck!
  3. Thanks Karen for the kind words. I can see a difference in my face. All my blouses are fitting alot loser and I have had to stop wearing some of my stuff, looks like clowns pants on me. Other things like jeans for instance are still proving to be stubborn and difficult. My belly fat is hanging (literlly) :-) on for dear life.
  4. Glitter, I am glad you are finally starting to feel a little better. sip...sip...sip. :-)
  5. Great idea Vines, I am totally into mino goals. That is one thing I learned from going to Weight Watchers is never set you goal to the point that in your head it seems unatainable. I just set my mini goals to 10 percent less than whatever I currently weigh or what I weigh at the end of one goal.
  6. Oh I wish I had done something like that. I had 4 candy bars...I feel like crap right now. Well, tomorrow is a new day and a new start. I fell off the wagon tonight, but I will be back in the saddle tomorrow! Dang candy!

  16. I have had my band since 9/23/05, I have lost 20 pounds with my band already. If you follow the bandster rules you will lose weight. There several studies out on the web where the band and the bypass or compared. Eventually a banded person will lose the same amount of weight it will just take longer. You can defeat the band, you can defeat the bypass. There are some bypass patients that are now banded over their bypass because they had started gaining their weight back. It is all in how you want to approach the band, embrace it and do the best you can to follow the rules or struggle with it...same with bypass.
  17. Congratulations!!!!! It will be here before you know it!
  18. Welcome to banded land ladies!!! May you recover quickly!!
  19. JohnDeerGal, I would call back and get in with a care advocate, they usually can tell you over the phone or get a nurse to do it. You shouldn't have to just wait for the letter. Someone should be able to tell you. It took me three tries, but I did finally get that info over the phone. Best of Luck!
  20. 1)How much of a fill you all got the first visit? The Dr put 3.4ml in my band almost 4 weeks to the day after my surgery, and I felt a little restricted, but I am still on the mushie stage and not going to do anything else until after I see how I do on solid foods. 2)What size and brand of band? Vg 10ml band 3)Did your Dr. use floro or not for this first visit? He uses floro everytime 4)How much did you get on your second fill? Haven't had one yet. 5)How long before you NEEDED (not got it, but needed it) your second fill? N/A at this time.
