Introducing myself

Hi,

I am not new to the lap band, but am to this site. I have had very poor success with my band and it's not the band's fault. I just wanted to not have to think about food or dieting and hoped the band would keep me from eating and the weight would fall off...Boy, was I wrong. It has taken me 2 years to finally figure this out. I went through the illness and loss of my mother and that took it out of me, but my fight is back and I'm ready to get back on track.

Aftercare is so important. I virtually had none. You have to have coaching...I need a good coach...anyone interested? I've started exercising and counting calories. I'm gonna get another fill next week hopefully. My fills are done at the local hospital. A radiologist friend does them for me. I could go on and on but am really glad to get to spill my guts. Things are lookin' up.

Hi Madonna! Congratulations on getting back on track. This site can be so helpful - I think you'll really like it here. I've only been banded for 3 months so I'm probably not a qualified coach, but feel free to PM me if you want to vent.

Don't forget - you are down almost 40 pounds, and that's a great accomplishment! All it takes is a few days of doing good and you'll feel like you never strayed. Good luck! :)

Hi Madonna, welcome!! You're in the right place and we're all cheering you on. Let's you and me both get back to bandster basics and lose a few while we're at it. Happy Halloween!! :)
