I feel like I am starving
are you sure it's not thirst? are you getting enough fluids in? protein? drink first and wait and see if hungers persists. I have heard an antacid may help because it could be reflux? I haven't had that issue. I occasionally am hungry but it is usually after going long periods of time without eating. I have gone 10 hours in between meals to this day.

May Sleevers - We are 90 days out, lets catch up!
My stats are up to date. I am having my second f/u visit next Tuesday and was hoping to be down to 199.9 but I don't think that will happen. I am walking at work on one of my breaks. My energy levels are up, the hair is on the floor (everywhere) and I feel like I weigh ALOT less than the scale reads Got family drama right now and trying to stay focused and come here on break and after work to check in~

Brain is talking back ...
@@kranky813 @@TJBintheOC @@Niki15 - I don't miss the food as much as I need to remember to chew thoroughly and only eat 20 minutes and then stop, period. I find that if hubby and I are out to eat (which we do a lot) I put my food on my smaller plate - we order and I get his "add-ons" - and to avoid watching him still eat I push my food around and sit my fork down. That also prevents any accidental overeating. Hubby admitted to me about a month or so ago that he felt bad that he was eating a lot more food and felt uncomfortable about eating infront of me. I was upset that he hadn't mentioned it. I told him that I am not hungry and if he THINKS I am he is wrong. I have take home everytime we go out. I think by stretching out my time eating it doesn't seem as obvious to him how much I am eating. by the way - he has lost about 15lbs since my pre-op!

Brain is talking back ...
@@MrsKarenC2008 Funny you mentioned this - that's how I over ate twice, only a mouthful or so but enough to cause discomfort for about an hour. I watch my husband eat and I don't actually miss the pig out sessions. I am still a newbie in this WLS world and to avoid the discomfort I have to be mindful of quantity of food/drink. I am right there with you in this battle against the bulge!

HELP Dumping!
I was allowed chicken but was told to thoroughly chew it to mush. I have the sleeve and I have never experienced dumping. I have over ate twice and the knot in the throat and the sweating. The urge to want to throw up that last bite or two was overwhelming but I didn't want to do that either. I sipped water slowly and waited for it to pass - took about an hour. Not something I want to experience again.

Comments from others that mess with your head
@@stacyg1 - consider your "gym friend" out of line. That was totally un-called for...7lbs???? Maybe 27 because you are just under 5' and 20 pounds more on you would look different than on someone 5'10". She for whatever reason said that - chalk it up to head up her @$$ and move on...

How do I know I'm full?
@@theatrejo -time yourself and measure. If you are eating for more than twenty minutes you are probably full. I would stick with hydration being you priority at this point. Yogurt is a slider so its hard for me to feel full on it at four months. I have pretty much been able to eat a 5oz cup from the first day of soft foods on 3 days post-op.

Hair Loss
Mine has recently started coming out pretty heavily too. I am almost 4 months out. I have been taking Biotin and I was told it helps with regrowth. I had two question pre-surgery: hair loss & energy level (being tired). Surgeon said if I WASN'T tired for the first few months then I wasn't probably working my plan. The hair loss is generally a combination of both the shock of your new diet (weight loss) and surgery. I have cut my hair to my shoulders about 2 weeks ago and pray some hair stays put...
