  2. @@albare1978 - I have BCBS fed and I got an approval letter at my house about 10 days later.
  3. @@Fatty McFatster - lets us know, when you can, if the diuretic is helping - that's crazy 30lbs in a week please don't hesitate to go to ER if you still feel 'off' or the weight continues to go up or you still have trouble urinating. hate to say it but this sounds like its all related to the kidney stone. jane

  12. it will be like this for a while (honeymoon) and then you will probably be able to eat a bit more. This is a tool. Use it accordingly, like you have And STOP eating if you even THINK you are full, one bite can make a BIG difference and you will be uncomfortable
  13. Check with the insurance company, get it in writing just in case. In my case they only 'counted' the start weight. I think it varies because I also had comorbidities, pre-diabetic & HBP, to account for as well
  14. @@AmyMarie79 - yes I have some now :/ Not a big fan of the smell or how it mixes. Not sure if I will buy this again. I like the

  18. we are a nutty bunch here, your BP family, and we don't always agree and we argue at times but we do truly 'relate' to each other - jane
  19. @@Sleeve Fox - are you taking the Vitamins on an empty stomach? I cant or I will feel nauseous. Make sure if you are spacing some of the vitamins out because certain ones interfere with the others and cause issues. I think you are still working through your new "normal" and you have "got this". Good luck.
  20. @ - I add a half a scoop of Miralalx to my coffee/drink a couple of times a week if needed.
  21. It depends on a lot of things. If you were very active before you will probably do better than most who were sedentary pre-op. I have a pretty physical job: walking, up and down flights of stairs, lifting, etc. The heat in May 2015 was a lot for me the first week or two post-op. I was outside trying to do some really light yard work. I was also still on full dose of BP meds and limited diet. Once I was able to eat/drink a bit more, things got easier. I would do a little and sit down, do a little more and sit. Husband and adult son were threatening to lock me inside the RV we were living in at the time. We were building a modular home and it was done two weeks after my surgery. I was bored to tears inside and yard work was picking up small scraps of paper, wood, trash the builders left in the yard. When I was down about 20-25 post op (about a month) I realized my BP was dropping to 100/60. That dose was reduced to half and it made a BIG difference. Meeting your Protein and hydration requirements is a big deal and it would be what I would recommend you really watch, even on a short ride or a few rounds of golf.
  22. @@sassyfrass23 - We've got plenty of room {{{patting your seat}}} Come On Georgia Girl!
  23. M-E-O-W, Don't fight over the catnip!
  24. I agree with Sleevywonder - it depends on WHAT the smoothie/shake has for ingredients. I use the plain, NF greek yogurt as a base and water/ice or unsweetened almond/cashew milk and then add from there. In general my smoothies/shakes always have powdered flavored Protein (30grams of protein). I add to an unflavored powdered protein (26 grams of protein) a small amount of fruit 1/4C, or a small cup of fruit flavored NF greek yogurt. Then I only add water/ice/almond/cashew milk.
  25. @@FreeTheSkinny66 - no you are not alone, keep posting. I am post-op and thankful. I will keep you in my prayers, that your process works through, whatever the outcome - keep coming here.
