  1. @@dede0314 @@Melanie28 - Welcome to OneDerland!!!
  2. @@gowalking - my mom was like that. I dealt with comments like that when I was PG. She has passed away but when someone does something like that my blood boils and I say exactly what I DIDN'T say to her. "Its really none of your business, bless your heart" and then the infamous " if you can't say nothing nice then keep your mouth shut". Jane
  3. @@Elode that cold plate looks yummy too. I kinda do the same thing just in portioned out containers. I have to or I won't stop at a slice of cheese or a 1/2 ounce of pork rinds...it's all weighed or portioned out.
  4. @@Hey Man good luck. I had no doubt at 282 lbs and 52 years old that I needed help. I eat a slice of pizza, a couple of wings and occasionally I have a small glass of wine. I have no regrets about getting rid of 85% of my stomach.
  5. @@PissiChrissi - I was allowed egg drop soup after 72hours post.

  8. @@Christinamo7 & @@Elode your salads are making me crave blue cheese on spinach with either chicken or steak! I usually fix egg salad/tuna salad and divide out some thin lunch meat in some containers for lunch. I also divide up pork rinds, chunks of cheese, cottage cheese into separate containers and weigh it all out. Hubby likes to eat out so I have left overs mixed in as well. He like to grill out sausage, hamburgers or chicken during the week.

  16. yes! the shirt is very pretty and it looks great on you!
  17. I am old school, I guess, I read "....dating..." and didn't assume doing the 'horizontal bop' was part of the question. If I was 'dating' (my version) the subject of my WLS would be hopefully when I was ready to divulge. The server would have gotten a response that I give regularly and honestly, sorry cant eat it all. If the relationship was progressing towards the 'horizontal bop' I MIGHT would tell him before but I don't have any visible signs (my VSG was laparoscopic). I don't remember my husband explaining in depth the fact that he was circumcised...or my ex saying he wasn't.... What about having your tonsils/wisdom teeth/adenoids removed? Is that required to be discussed? bless their hearts...
  18. I aim for 10k-12K, but usually do well over 15K
  19. @@kealot glad to hear your surgery went well. going to share some pics later when you are able? I am about the same height and BMI - would like to see your results
  20. First of all, great start and welcome to the losers bench. Secondly, be prepared to stall periodically. Stay off the scale, I know its tempting, but it will cause you all kind of unnecessary angst. As far as keeping the husband (or anyone) posted on your actual weight...that's your call. IMHO, if its going to cause you to question that you are not LOSING ENOUGH then I would keep the numbers to yourself. We don't lose at the same pace. There are stalls, and times where nothing makes the numbers drop on the scale. Measure yourself now, you may lose inches (NSV) those are THE best losses: smaller jeans, better fitting bras, etc. You may lose 20lbs this month and 12 next month and 25 the following month - stalls happen. Good luck!
  21. @@New life 2016 - Welcome little brother to BP. I will be celebrating my 1st Re-Birthday on May 6th. Good luck and keep us posted on how you are doing - started your pre-op diet?
  22. @@bellabeans - unfortunately that does happen and it sucks. Its like ignoring someone who standing right in front of you its rude.
  23. @@dawnmac3903 - head hunger!!!! you need water! Don't listen the little pizza guy in your head...you will regret it if you do this early out. I gave in about a month out and ate about 2 bites of some thin curst pizza - didn't taste that great ( in my mind it was going to be wonderful) and I was over the urge. You are still pre-op and waayyyy to early to eat something like pizza. go outside, clean, wash the dog....anything but eat pizza.
