  6. I CAN NOT believe it has been over 3 months from my surgery. Anyone who is thinking about getting this surgery, or in the beginning stages....STAY POSITIVE! I suffer from severe anxiety and this journey has been awful. Days after my surgery I was so depressed about my choice. I wanted to go back to my surgeon and have him put my stomach back in. I was having anxiety attack after panic attack daily. I was so depressed that I took such a drastic step and cut my stomach out!!! But...looking back. I wouldn't change my decision for the world. I haven't been this happy in YEARS. I had a series of traumatic events happen which left me at my low point and I was addicted to food. Yes...addicted. People think it's a joke...but it happens. I no longer use food as a coping mechanism. I don't revolve my life around food. I don't eat so much that I can't get up. It feels amazing to have energy to do things. So here is some hope to anyone in the beginning stages....it gets better. I'm loving my "new" life

  12. I haven't been under 200 in 3 years!!! This is very exciting! All of the struggles and anxiety after the surgery is all worth it seeing that number on the scale. And it's only been 3 months. I hope to see the numbers drop even more!
  13. I mean at first I got nervous and thought ...oh snap my stomach is exploding haha. But I'm sure that's just my anxiety talking. I just feel so fragile! I didn't do that much exercise. Literally 10 minutes...
  14. I know it's hard not to be able to do what your friends are doing but think about it this way...would you rather be over weight and eating what they are? In time you can do those things. Trust me, I used to go out regularly and I haven't went out in 3 months. It's tough when my friends call me to go out and I have to decline. But I would rather be healthy and take this time to get happy and lose weight. Just think of the end result and how much better you will feel about yourself
  15. I was sleeved January 20th. I'm so sorry you're having complications. food for me hasn't been an issue. the gas after I eat is the big issue. And the gurgling noises! It's very embarrassing at work lol! I've heard there's light at the end of the tunnel so hold on!
  16. So I think I pulled another muscle. I'm almost 2 weeks post op and feel so fragile. After 3 weeks I pulled a muscle in my stomach. A few weeks after that I pulled a muscle in my back. Now I feel like I pulled a muscle in my side. One was from lifting too much and this new one I think was from exercising. I mean I'm assuming it's a pulled muscle. I have a pain in my left side. Ugh...anyone else?!
  17. Definitely PB2. I'm soooo thankful I discovered it. I put it in my protein shakes every morning and it's yummmm. Even adds extra protein
  18. So I am approx 7 weeks post op. I am down almost 45 pounds. I am sooo happy I lost that much so far but I obviously want to keep losing. I'm nervous for the day the scale stops moving. Has anyone else had a stall around this time?? When did the scale stop moving for you??
  19. Hello fellow sleevers. So yesterday my stomach was bothering me for the majority of the day. Then my lower back started hurting VERY bad. It was hard to sleep because of the pain. I drank some milk of magnesia and went a few times but today it still hurts. Has this happened to anybody? I'm hoping the pain goes away. I'm usually a frequent "goer" and am now going days without. So hopefully that's it. Help! Thanks!
  20. When did you have your first alcoholic drink after your surgery ?!
  21. So last night I started having pain in my "new" stomach. It almost feels like I did too many sit ups. I have my follow up appointment today but I'm nervous. Did anyone else deal with this pain? I tried pastina pasta last night. (Very small pasta). I only had a little bit but maybe it stretched it? I'm a little nervous
  22. Hi fellow sleevers! I am 5 weeks post op and am starting to feel exhausted. After 2 weeks I had Tonnnnsss of energy. Today I was beyond exhausted. I go to my one month follow up tomorrow and am going to ask about coffee. I was told to stop because caffeine causes dehydration. Has anyone else experienced the same?
  23. I'm a carb loving Italian and am craving some spaghetti! But I'm only a month post op and don't want to eat real carbs. So if anyone can share which one is more like spaghetti? Also- any good recipes to make it yummy thanks!
  24. Well I'm starting week 5 and the purée phase was my last phase. The surgeons list says I can have bread, rice, pasta, crackers. The last two weeks were scrambled eggs and mashed potatoes. Idk if maybe I didn't mention how far post op I was. I have my one month follow up next week so maybe I should ask? I'm going to stay safe this week and not go too crazy. But I was pretty excited about rice
  25. I can start soft foods today! I'm a little nervous because I don't want to overdo it. Any suggestions? I also have a couple questions on what qualifies as a soft food? It just seems like such a broad term. Can I do tortillas?! Bagels? I want to stay on track. Help!
