  1. Hi @@bobbyswife sure thing. Give me your email and I will scan all three stages sample menus and send
  2. Hi, I am 9 days post op and had my first post of visit today. They said I am doing great but for safety reason want to keep my on my liquid diet (stage one bariatric diet) the full two weeks. I have given a schedule and sample meals which I love because it keeps me on track and I try to get in as much fluids as I can. They did the same for Stage 2, puree and stage three. I can gladly send you a copy if you wish to run by your MD and adhere to. I would be lost without it. I know I need my Protein and these fluids as recommended. I want to have energy and keep my hair.

    Rochester, NY sleevers?

Hi @@mjmboston your day is soon coming. Are you ready? How do you feel? As for me my first post op visit is tomorrow, I am excited to see how I am doing. I am starting to get some energy back and feeling more like myself. My smiley face (what your stomach looks like lol) is still sore, the gas pains are getting better but come and go with bang. Tired of my liquid Phase 1 Diet but I know its whats best for me, its just the last couple of nights I started feeling hungry but I love the sample schedule they gave me, helps me get all my fluids in and daily I drink more Hope to hear from you.

    Diet Cheating!

There really is no easy way to say that you are basically reverting back to the habits that got you to needing the surgery in the first place. I'm 4 days out and completely conscious of the fact that this is a life style change. That I need this to live a longer and healthier life. I'm still healing and it is a process. No it will not be easy but yes it will be worth it. I will never do anything to damage all the hard work it took to get me here. All that junk will be there in the future. If I still want it. Goal is, I won't. You are fooling only yourself and unfortunate will only hurt yourself. I agree with everyone here and definitely think you should speak to your nutritionist. 2 weeks does not sheltered make. For your entire life's health, I think it's more than worth it, and you should too. Be blessed and stay strong but most importantly ... On track.
  6. I agree with everyone here. I just got home from my surgery and having had my best friend do all my liquids shopping (broths, shakes, yogurt, crystal light, Popsicles etc) for me has been a big assist. I will definitely look into the gas strips because I've been up for the past two hours because of the shoulder pain. Be prepared for the gas pain. It's the worst of it. But it's already getting better. But boy it's a doozy. I'm very excited for the rest of my recovery and staying hydrated and walking asap after surgery is a big plus ????
  7. The gas pain is oh so real. When I came to I felt like I had surgery on my back instead of my stomach. Pain meds alleviated that but when they said you would get gas pains, they weren't lying. I'm laying here staring at the ceiling wishing to pass gas. Aside from a few burps (welcomed I may add) it's all the relief I have had as of yet. But in being treated well and kept as comfortable as possible. Being a veteran (unfortunately) to surgeries I must say this has been one of the toughest. I know in the long run it will pay off. Walking does help. So get to walking as soon as you can. But lord I can't wait for all this air to be out of me
  8. That's great, I walked that night. Already on my way home. I needed the two nights, the gas pains yesterday was unbearable but thank God it's much better and the "gas" process has commenced lol ????

    Rochester, NY sleevers?

@@mjmboston its day 3 I get to go home today. When I came to my back was killing me but pain meds took care of that but let me tell you the gas pains are a doozy. I didn't think it would hurt as much as it did. It's much better today, walking does help and they did give me protonix. Still waiting to pass the elusive gas everyone speaks of that I know will make me feel wonderful. They are right. Sipping the little ounces of water is hard, but until I can do 3 in an hr they will not send me home because they do not want me to dehydrate. Don't rush them though because you can get nauseous. Feeling much better today and am excited for the rest of my recovery

    Rochester, NY sleevers?

Thank you. I will look into it. My surgery was just pushed up to tomorrow. Yikes. Pray for me
  11. So my orignal surgery date was 11/24 and I received a called this morning and was asked if I would mind coming in tomorrow instead. I said … well no I wouldn’t mind. After all the rings of fire I went through to get the date I had, this was really a welcomed surprise, but now … I am really nervous. I had started my 2 week high Protein diet yesterday and now went immediately into my Clear liquids diet today. Any words of wisdom/advice before my big day?
  12. Thank you so much. Will do! ????

    Rochester, NY sleevers?

@@mjmboston Thank you so much for the information. I will definitely try the unjury. My diet is modified. I get a meal for dinner which is great. I have been telling the few people who know that I will have an attitude for two weeks, haha, but it should’t be so bad. I guess I will try getting the samples. How do you go about doing that? I read everyone mentioning getting samples, it must be easy requesting them. I have to do liquids two days prior, so thay will be a little tough. I feel the same way, probably a bit more nervous as well. Well as of tomorrow we are officially two weeks away. Thanks so much for the good luck. I will need it. I will try to run out and get some today. Its been such a busy week. If not, Breakfast run. ha! I will keep you posted
  15. Hello everyone, My surgery (gastric sleeve) is scheduled in a little over two weeks and on Monday I have to start my 2 week high Protein diet, mostly liquid. I have been looking all over the internet for reccomendations on which on the best tasting ones and have been getting mixed reviews. I know that my tastes will change post surgery so I really just need some to get me through the two weeks. Any and all assistance would be most appreciated so I can pick it up this weekend. Thank you so much.

    Protein Shakes help

My Doctor had recommended I purchase my Protein shakes at GNC because they will take back the powder ones if I do not like the taste even if they are opened. I see here most of the recommended ones are ready made. I was advised also powder because I was told is was least expensive. I will go with the major consensus though since many of you have been through it and know. I so appreciate all of your assistance. Thank you so much.
