I'll be having surgery March 20, the day after tomorrow, with Dr. Jose Rodriguez. I'm so ready!

I only have to make it through one more day before my surgery on FRIDAY! I've waited months for this and can't believe the time is finally here.
I'm ready. Bags are packed, everything is done except getting on the plane and getting to the hospital. (I'm having a Mini Gastric Bypass with Dr. Jose Rodriguez).
Thoughts and prayers would definitely be appreciated.

Wifi login and password at admissions. Got it. Great tip, thank you.
I'm glad that you mentioned the gloves. I don't mean to make a mountain out of a molehill about it, I was just a little surprised. No idea why, but I was.

Hi, I know you were considering Dr. Rodriguez so I thought this thread might interest you. The OP had the band, and has just had a sleeve done with Dr. Rodriguez. http://www.bariatricpal.com/topic/335429-dr-rodriguez-starmedica-in-juarez-mexico-march-14-2015/

The word for gloves is guantes. I memorized it after talking with you last night.
The word for sterile is esteril.
    I'm prepared thanks to you.

My surgery is on March 20, and I've been doing the same thing. Tomorrow is my last day before I start my pre-op diet on Saturday. But, my diet is high-Protein low-carb, not liquids, so I've mainly been splurging on the sweets. Since sweets are a big weakness for me I plan to steer clear of them forever after surgery, and I think savoring these last farewells has helped me get in the right mental mindset for surgery in 2 weeks.

Okiebon got a reaction from Luvin_Life125 in Torani Sugar Free Syrup - Am I mixing it wrong?
I almost ordered the black cherry, too.
I just checked Torani's website - it says that they have a 100% satisfaction guarantee. It looks like I should be able to return everything for a full refund (less the expensive S & H, of course). That's more than I expected though.

@MamaTo3inNH Have you tried cooking the chicken in a crock pot? meats are usually very moist and tender this way. If you'd still like a sauce, try adding some cream of chicken Soup on top of the chicken while it cooks (maybe even stir in some unflavored Protein powder for extra protein).

I have had a Charlie in my life for the last several years. One week from tomorrow I'm taking a major step in getting him out of my life forever! Goodbye Charlie.
Thank you for posting this! It's so well written, and it gives a new look on things that hit too close to home.

Okiebon got a reaction from TREVORSMOM in SYNTRAX NECTAR-Does anyone have any receipes or ideas of what this can be mixed with in addition to water.
I haven't tried this yet, but someone recommended mixing the fruity flavors with plain greek yogurt.
They also recommended mixing the strawberry Mousse flavor with the Roadside Lemonaid. Both sound pretty good to me.
I've mixed the vanilla Bean, strawberry Mousse and the chocolate with milk and it makes it a little thicker, more dessert-like, and it adds protein!

    Y'all have made my day!
The shoes went back to the store today and I was smiling while I returned them.
I seem to recall that I wore an 8 to an 8.5 in my early twenties. Now I'm a 9.5 to a 10. I love knowing there's hope that I can get back down to where I can wear smaller shoes.
But best of all, I love hearing that my feet may no longer swell. I hate that!!
I'm on a countdown now. Surgery is three weeks, just twenty-one days, from tomorrow. So excited!

@Aliyah14 May I ask why you changed your mind about using Dr. Rodriguez? I'm having surgery with him 2 weeks from today, and I'm just curious.

    Thank you everyone!
So....the shoes are going back. I thought about trying to exchange them for a smaller size, but that's too risky. They're so cute, too.
Silver lining = smaller feet!!! I hope hope hope I'm lucky enough to lose some foot fat.

I'm 44, halfway to 45, and having surgery in 3 weeks.
I'm so glad this question came up. I've been asking myself the same thing, worrying I might be too "old" for this surgery. Not anymore!
