Just got the call, insurance approved my surgery date!! Feb 14th in Riverside CA Start liquids next week AFTER my foodie potluck party!!lol All my friends and family are bringing dishes and Desserts and I'm having a pie eating contest, hot dog contest, and other food related games... I'm so EXCITED!
  4. My surgeon said straight out 1 in 1,000 dies. In his 35 years of surgeries he has had 1 patient die and that was due to a post operative infection that went untreated. The patient just thought it was pain and would go away and ignored the other symptoms.

I'm having my surgery in Riverside! I'd love to stay in touch.
  7. Hi I'm a 33/f and having bypass with stomach removal on Feb 14th in Riverside. I would love to have one or two ladies that are at least 2 years out that can answer questions and I can seek counsel when I need recommendations on local doctors/stores, etc.

And YES! Isopure is amazing! Fortunately I have been able to try all the flavors prior to surgery. They are clear fluid very easy to go down(unlike chalky/milky shakes) My favorites have been apple melon, and the black or green iced tea flavors.

Feb 14!!! I'm in Love with this date it's so significant that I love myself enough to do the best thing for my health! Putting myself first! I chose RNY with stomach removal.( it's a newer surgery but I'm excited, it's the best of both surgeries!)
  10. Nope not my surgeons office just my primary. We talked about taking 1/2 pills to offset some of the negative side effects. I should be having surgery in Jan (no date set) so I'll be off these pills before then.
  11. Wl warrior, I've used both of those at different time and had success. I'm sure that combo is going to be great for lots of people.
  12. I am pre-op. I have another two months of nutrition counseling. This is just to hold me from gaining anymore weight before surgery. Short term use.
  13. Hello all, My Primary Dr is also a weight loss specialist and on top of a prescribed diet he put me on Phentermine. It takes away all my "hungry" pains/feelings so I'm forcing myself to eat a little something at meal time. I have also noticed if I don't take it right as I wake up that it will keep me awake at night. Has anyone else used this prescription?
  14. Hello all, would this be the closest group to Victorville? Or are you aware of anything closer to me? Any help would be great! Thank you.

    ISOPURE

I like the peach mango and the green tea isopure. I can't stand milky shakes.
