I'm on day 9 and it's not that I'm hungry it's just that my body craves the things I cannot have. Every damn Taco Bell commercial I see makes me want to punch the TV. Lol

Hang in there. I'm at on day 7 preop liquids and it is extremely hard to remain as strict as I need to be. I woke up this morning and walked by 2 giant bowls of Halloween candy. Then went right into the bathroom where in the first time in 3 years I was able to weigh myself on my bathroom scale. You have the willpower to do this! Forget your mistakes and move forward!

Good luck ellie123 Nov 2nd is right around the corner! I have been open about my upcoming surgery to my family and coworkers. I have only told a few but word seems to spread quickly. Haha. Everyone has been supportive but some people seem to think of themselves as experts. I'm on my pre-op diet and I'm getting at least 100 grams of Protein a day right now. (Which includes 3 protein shakes) A lady told me yesterday that I wasn't drinking enough shakes and I should be drinking at least 6 of them a day!

That sucks. I would call. Sometimes the squeaky wheel gets the grease. My date was scheduled a month in advance however they will call me the day before with my time.

I was a kid when all the stories about people tampering with Halloween candy were going around. Hospitals were offering to x-Ray kid's treat bags to check for razor blades, etc. My dad had a better plan. He would have us spread out all the candy on the table. Then he would take a "random sampling" which consisted of almost exclusively Reese cups (his favorite). Once he ate a few of them he would give us the all clear. I don't know why we never caught on to his scheme. Haha

Oh crap! I just realized I will be on my pre-op liquid diet on Halloween. My kids will be happy I'm not raiding their stash.

I can only speak for Kentucky but if your current employer offers health insurance then you are not eligible for the tax incentives offered with the Obamacare plans. From what I have seen the premiums w/o these tax credits are outrageous. Please do your research before dropping your employer sponsored plan.

If you gave ample notice for the first rescheduling I don't think that should count as a strike. My surgeon's office make reminder calls the day before your appointment. Does your doctor offer this? Mistakes happen. Now is the time to brush it off and continue onward and upward. Good luck!

To me the decision to pursue the surgery was a lot easier than deciding which one to have.

I wear a 15 wide and it is hard to find shoes in this size so going down a size or two would be nice but what I am really hoping is for the foot pain to go away!

Looks like we have quite a large (and awesome) group of November sleevers. It was a year ago when I started seriously researching weight loss surgery. I had hoped to get mine done back in the summer but due to my insurance company's change of policy I got pushed back a few months. I will just be glad when this thought I had a year ago finally becomes reality.
