    So 3 good meals was the goal...3 meals with the bare min of protein/vitamins that I HAVE to eat....and optional (approved) snacks if I can.

    The key is to cram it all into 3 1/4 cup meals. Which I am hoping she can help with. They discourage Protein shake because they say it won't fill me up. But it honestly takes everything I got to squeeze those in simply for the Vitamins and protein :/ even when I am not hungry. Thx for all the great info. Keep y'all updated.

    Ok so here we go. Just got off the phone and it seems as though I'm not a lone wolf when it comes to having a hard time constantly eating. Or getting in all recommended servings. For lap banders she says it usually varys by day. While technically I should be eating more, my numbers in every aspect are fine. While I'm not losing weight body fat has decreased by 5% so I am obviously getting leaner and building muscle. And at over a year out a slowdown is expected. So we will meet tomorrow to make a meal plan...which is tough because 3 meals a day is tough, I'm gonna try...lol. then meeting with a trainer first thing monday. After talking to them on the phone looks like I will be able to do a few days of strength training one on one after my insanity. Ugh! In a good way

    I understand protein is a goal lol...however the difference between surgeries generally calls for different diets right? I don't know about the others so it was merely a question. Though protein intake is based primarily on weight? Along with other factors say someone at 200 lbs 45 and 6' would have different protein needs than me at 5'5 150lbs and 34? At least that was my understanding. I left a message for a call back and I will keep ya posted

    Also I have tried to eat...mornings are generally a no go which is why I go for protein bars as soon as I can. Dr has told me all of this is normal due to the settling of fluids in my band. And since what I was doing isn't working which is why I am sticking with insanity...tried it once b4 but dropped out..I feel like I ha e tons of energy now that I am 100lbs down...

    Protein bars, Turkey and protein shakes...I am for 65 which is what i was told. but I obviously don't hit it everyday. Yours higher because you have the sleeve and I have a band? And age differences factor in?Or is it all the same in the protein part?

    @@anaxila Thx for the reply. I'm looking into strength training...just so many dang options. I would like to finish the insanity cource, then possibly move on? Or add strength training with insanity...lol Apparently I need to talk with the personal trainers!

    @innersurfergirl I wasn't able to fit it all in a screen shot. This is seriously me eating when I am hungry. I had a full work up and vitamin levels are all great. I feel fine and function fine. 40 min cardio work kids ect. Sleep a perfect 8 hrs. And drink tons of h20... Lol. And reading some veteran banders, they sometimes go a full day with eating much less...and I cannot make myself eat...

    Agreed!! They just aren't fans of my turkey obsession everyday. They definitely eat way more fruits and veggies than I do. My youngest is a vegetarian, my oldest will only eat meat 90% of the time and my hubby is a salad before the meat and sides are served type of guy...lol.

    Thank you so much @TheRealMelsHere!! Gonna check out and try all those yummy recipies! It gets tough especially since the hubby and kids like something other than what I am eating. :/ and definitely gonna get some quest bars! So many items out there!! Gonna do some tracking. Maybe it's just my diet after all! :/ and glad all turkey isn't bad!! I can't eat deli slices but the texture of ground turkey is great for me! I appreciate all the tips!!

    Thanks for your reply @TheRealMelsHere! My list is pretty long because I couldn't stick to one flavor of protein mix so I tried a few..I have muscle milk lean protein-cookies and cream, gnc total lean shake in bannana, lite vanilla cupcake natural protein and a slim fast chocolate My 3 goto bars when I can't eat a full meal are Balance mint chocolate mint Gatorade whey protein in mint choc. Or a cliff bar in chocolate brownie. Fat free cottage chz, Either chicken thighs or breast And the turkey is ground and pre packaged in 12 Oz sleeves that is supposed to be 3 servings @ 12oz. I usually don't eat anything after 5pm. Day starts at 5 am with workout starting at 6. I started using creatine and a pre workout liquid suppliment. And that's only been about 2 weeks tho.. Maybe my protein is too high. And too many carbs.I just need to do a better job of tracking. I kinda slacked on that since I cut out bread, rice, pasta and spuds...lol. I just hate veggies!!! Lol so I gotta get creative in my recipies!

    Thank you @@needtorecover! Yes I jiggle :/ but bmi still says over weight...insanity is a workout program that is crazy...I do want to tone up more. Good idea on adding weights! I've always been kind of worried about getting too big. As I am already blessed with "thunder thighs". A personal trainer is a great idea!!

    Eating out

    I thought about getting a card since my Dr told me he has them. But I always forget. So what works best for me is to just ask for an extra plate then I can just split with my hubby or kids.... works out fine. Otherwise we end up with a ton of leftovers that usually gets thrown out. My hubby jokes how much cheaper eating out will be once the kids are gone. Lol
