  1. i started walking. but i 've noticed i run out of breath really fast. it never happened pre-band. anyone else have this problem :confused2:
  2. Hi Sherry- I mainly use my mini blender for my mushie stage. I have a small one from hamilton beach. its way better than lugging out the normal size blender, and its less cleaning. my mini only has one button/speed, which is perfect, imo. it was $15.00 at walmart. i didn't go w/the magic bullet only because i knew i was only going to use it during this stage and didn't want to spend more money. :rolleyes2:
  3. oh yeah!! get the pain in my left shoulder when i'm full too! i stay full for a couple of hours, which is completely amazing. preband, i would be hungry all the time (maybe head hunger) and i would be snacking all day. now i get SO full off of a cup if not less, of mushies. i haven't lost anything this last week, but i'm just begining, so i'm not worried. i know my body has to get used to these sudden changes.:rolleyes2:
  4. don't get discouraged!! we're just barely starting. :smile2: remember that our bodies are getting used to all these changes and it might be a while until that scale starts moving again; everyone's different though. i haven't lost anything since last week. but i know its going to be all good, im not worried. keep your head up kiddo :smile2:
  5. about three weeks ago, i wanted to wear this cute 2x aqua colored halter dress, very simple, but totally adorable. i put it on, and i looked like i was pregnant :smile2:; i took it off. so, just this past saturday we went "wave runnering", i wore it over my bathing suit, and it fit me loose!! even dh was shocked.
  6. i live in norwalk

sorry there froggi...they are public. i wouldn't post in the men's room, but i do go in there and peek. :tongue2: ...i'm curious, as i am sure the men are too about our "powder room gone wild."
  8. hi mstrina- i was supposed to start this past monday 6/2, but i came down with a nasty cold that's still kickin' my @$$. but i am going back to the gym on monday no matter what! i'll start out going every other day, then in two weeks everyday. i usually go on the treadmill, that gives me great overall results. i can't wait to start doing crunches, my stomach needs all the help it can get. but i too have to wait 6 months for those. best of luck to you on your routine!!! sounds like you're off to a great start!
  9. awesome froggi, you're a genius! can't wait for that to be up & running!!
  10. lexi- its nice to see you're doing better!!! the pain DOES go away as the days go by. i only had bad shoulder pain, but its gone now.

100% AGREE!!! i just stared my band journey, but when i first came on lbt, i noticed so much negativity, all the while me thinking "how can you just set yourself up for failure?" yes, nothing in life is easy, if it were, we'd all be the same & what's the fun in that? life is about variety. one thing that i PROMISED myself, when i started thinking about lbs, was no matter what the circumstance during this journey, i was not, and am not, going to think that will never reach my goal of 155. it look me forever to reach my highest weight and it will take hard work and time to get this off. i know i will succeed.
  12. hope you girls get better soon!
  13. rain on my parade why don't you?!? LOL. my shoulder pain finally went completely away! =) i feel "normal."
  14. thanks love!! i'll go to gnc this weekend & see what sizes they have. i didn't know those iron pills were small enough! cool:biggrin2:
  15. that's so not cool! my incisions are healing nicely, one's totally healed. but man, i didn't know i was allergic to latex :wink2:(we use latex condoms, and no side effect has ever happened. sorry to get off topic ). i'm now using non latex bandages, and my rash is going away.
  16. i take viactiv- Multivitamin & Calcium, chewable Fiber choice, folic acid- really little Vitamin, and i take my hair, skin, & nails from gnc- i cut that up. what i am looking for now is chewable Iron pills that won't taste nasty. is there such a thing? i know i can google it, but anyone tried any? suggestions?
  17. hi everyone- my surgery was 5/22, no pre op diet was required. i tried to go on one, and cheated! :wink2: as of today, i'm down 9 lbs. i'm on liquids right now, and i do get full pretty fast. i know it will slow down in a couple of weeks, but this is amazing!
  18. best of luck ams; see you on the other side!
  19. ok, today was my first day back to work. it went well. i bought a couple of "therma-care" heating pads for the shoulder pain...awesome,is all i have to say! everything went well :biggrin2: i can only hope the rest of my journey is as smooth!!
  20. ams- if it weren't for the gas pain,i would have never known i underwent LBS! it was a sinch!! walk in the park, to be honest. just remember everyone's different. i know i'm one of the lucky ones; i hope you are too. jessica- you'll do great!!! check in w/us as soon as you're able!!!! :huh2:
  21. gas pain totally normal!!! i have it too!! i promise it will slowly but surely go away yes, the heating pad works wonders and also try to walk around, that helps me.
  22. hi- sorry for the late reply; i got super busy last week making sure everything here at home was left in order, and i took care of a lot of personal things before i left... i got back home from t.j. last night. my surgery was on 5/22, i stayed a couple of extra days in case of any complications. (i had none) i stayed with some friends. everything was quiet. was aware of my surroundings ALL THE TIME, nothing looked suspicious to me. i saw security every where i went. i went to the markets and did some light shopping, never once did i not feel safe.
  23. hey all! doing great over here. got home last night. besides the death pains in my left shoulder (which is getting less as days go by!), i'm doing awesome. im so happy so read you're all recovering well
  24. hi all- i'm glad to hear everyone's doing excellent. i got back home last night. from the day out of surgery, i've been doing well incision wise (port site hurts just a little),no tummy pains, no hunger pains (yet & hopefully they won't come), the ONLY thing that was and kind of still is kicking my rear, is GAS pain in my shoulder! omg, friday was the worst, it felt like someone was drilling a hole into my shoulder. i have been walking around, and applying my heating pad; that does help some. as the days go by, its not as bad.
