  1. What..........flip flops? Just kidding, still love to cross my legs just for the thrill of having the ability to do so again!
  2. You look radiant dahling! You have done well, congratulations.
  3. I went through HealthEast. I thought their program was thorough and very well organized. All of the staff are friendly, courteous and helpful. The Psychiarist I saw affiliated with their program was actually rather humorous, made my psych eval fun. It is also a Center of Excellence. My surgeon came highly recommended by my primary Dr., she used him for a delicate thyroid surgery. My hospital stay was great, I was well tended by staff. The rooms are beautiful, private, private bath. Husband was well informed during surgery. I had no painful gas following surgery, no complications, minimal pain. I did have pretty significant nausea which I expected as I am always nauseous after general anesthesia, the Anesthetist tried to mitigate that the best he could but I still was nauseous. As you can tell I was very satisfied with my experience at HealthEast. After reading about her experience above @@Djmohr had a good experience at Park Nicollet too. Two great choices!
  4. Mmmmm, must try this. We will have a high of -7 F here in MN tomorrow. Hate it!
  5. @@proudgrammy, Sorry I am late to the party, Happy Birthday to you! I can tell you have a zest for life and it's due to your sleeve and susequent hard work which got you to goal. I wish you many more happy birthdays!
  6. I have never watched this program simply because I cannot understand how these "contestants" can abase themselves in this way.
  7. Well done! I am "only" 11 months post op, but I track about two weeks out of every month now. My eating habits and exercise have become so routine that I pretty much input the same things from day to day. Thanks for the info regarding the diligence necessary in maintenance.
  8. @@Ladybrinkman Good luck and speedy recovery. Most of us that were on this post will be almost one year post op. Speaking for myself it went well and I am pleased with my progress. As most of us on here say- best thing I've ever done for myself!
  9. I will also pray and ask God to bless each of you.
  10. Just (hopefully) cancelled my order via email. I can wait no longer for my calcium chewy bites as I've been out for over a week and the order I placed with Bariatric Pal store was placed 11/30. Too long to wait even with a discount.
  11. Thanks for sharing the link to that interesting article. Living in MN, I've had low vit.D levels for years. I'm happy my bariatrician increased my dose prior to surgery since WLS was in February.
  12. Well you may not get there by the date you want, but rest assured you will get there. Onederland certainly is a magic milestone for most of us . Merry Christmas to you too!
  13. @@Sharon1964, Great job, you have done well! On to the next big goal.
  14. @@Kindle, How did I miss this post earlier this month? Thank you for the update on your progress. I always enjoy your posts. I am sorry for your losses in your brother and best friend. Perhaps the pain will lessen in time? But kudos on your NSV in not turning to alcohol and food to deal with the pain. I hope 2016 will be a good year for you.
  15. @@Stevehud, You have done well! Congratulations. We all hope for results like that.
  16. Wow! How exciting is that! Moving down those sizes is always rewarding.
  17. Congratulations! Job well done.
  18. My cat is 15 years old now and leaves the tree alone aside from lapping up the water in the tree stand. We always get ours the weekend after Thanksgiving. I really enjoy the decorated and lit tree.
  19. Some broths are high in sodium, which may exacerbate your premenstrual weight gain. This is temporary, follow the advice of@@BLERDgirl and you will start to lose again.
  20. Congratulations! You are doing well!
  21. I am finding that since I have lost weight I think fat people are abhorrent. I certainly hope I "grow out of it". I used to be more compassionate regarding obesity and am trying very hard to change my attitude.
  22. What a positive, delightful post . I'm sure you'll wear that dress with confidence!
  23. You have done well! After you lose a few more pounds those two that you were so frustrated about losing will be a dim memory.
