My A1c in March was 9.2 Today it is 6.1 almost one month after surgery! 27 lbs lost since surgery, and 48 lbs lost since I started the program. No more diabetes meds or insulins. My lipitor and HBP meds were reduced too. WOW!

i dont understand why you need to speak to a shrink for approval of any weight loss surgery !!

Avoiding eating with others because I need to eat slowly

What a great feeling! My oldest son was here last night , he is 6'2" tall. He looks good for his height except he has that tell tale sign of a ver small beer belly. He does like to indulge once in a while. I have always been the heaviest in our family. Last night he tells me he need to drop a few pounds because he is at his heaviest. I asked him what his weight is and he told me 225. For the first time in my life I weigh less than him. I am currently 205 headed for onederland. I am 5'10". Although I felt bad for him, I have to say I was so very proud of me for losing 105 lbs

Surgery was approved yesterday by Insurance, and I got my surgery date today I am having the sleeve done June 29th. I am so scared but ready for my life to change and to be a healthier person for my kids

Bought a handful of smaller clothes yesterday to get me by for a bit. Great feeling being down from a 32 to a 22!

I recently gathered the courage to tell my sister (who is a personal trainer) that I am getting surgery. She understood and once I explained the surgery to her she really started to support my decision. So that makes a total of four people that now know. I don't plan on telling anyone else unless I'm asked. I don't need anyone trying to change my mind or tell me I can do it without surgery, because I've tried for over 10 years and it just doesn't work, I've done several diets, diet pills, drinks, everything I can think of. I'm becoming more positive about this and I feel that this is the right decision.
