Congrats! I wish you luck!! I'm excited when I see such a small amount of time out of surgery and someone posting their doing well... Being so close to my surgery date, I was starting to not want to look at the forum bc I felt like I kept seeing posts with just out of surgery and ... happened. Kind of scary when your so close to go in! How are you doing with your fluid intake? Walking?

Congratulations!! Incredibly exciting. I hope to share this same feeling soon! Bypass set for 4/22! Thank you for this post... Just what I needed to see as I felt like I was starting to panic a little with it so close. Best of luck to you and your wt loss journey.

@@MichelleTN, I did the same for dinner last night. Lol. It was my hubby's b'day! Had to celebrate for him and one last amazing meal before none for a long time to come.

@@macman, I am having my surgery at Milford Hospital! I was initially scheduled with Dr. Czerniach but will have my surgery with Dr. Cohen! Nothing at all negative against Czerniach I had just met Dr. Cohen and felt incredibly comfortable with him. How are you doing? How are you feeling?

Had my pre-op today! All went well... It's a go for a week from today! I DID find out that it is an absolute NO for makeup! 'My' office requires this as they measure your temperature by the forehead and do so frequently. They also require no nail polish or artificial nails as they do your o2 sat on your index finger and simply bc anything on your nails can harbor a huge amount of bacteria. At this point, idc about any of it. I'm just ecstatic for this to happen.

I can understand 'least of problems', but being a person with insecurities due to my weight and secondly with how I feel in my lack of confidence without makeup... It's the one thing I can control until my weight is no longer an issue. . .

Well... I've already called my surgeons office for every other question... Why not this one? Lol!

I love this topic because I just asked my sister who went thru bypass a few years ago if makeup is or isn't OK... I'm someone who walks to the mailbox and has my 'mask' on lol!

April 22! Not required to do a liquid diet beforehand, but I'm going to do it anyhow. Any suggestions on a regimen? Bc I'm not required they didn't give me any diet to follow except what not to have the day before surgery...

Hi, this is my fist time posting. I guess at this point I am ready to begin posting as I finally have a surgery date scheduled for 4/22/15. I am eager and nervous... Eager because I am excited for a new chapter of my life to begin but nervous as I am not in fear of this procedure but that I have two toddlers who love mommy's hugs and cuddle time! I've contemplated holding off until their a little older, but, I feel if I do, I will regardless be prolonging the inevitable and start to a healthier lifestyle! I'm 5'2" @ 225 (good days) 232 others... I've lost about 10 lbs while attending the program before being cleared for surgery. I could absolutely use any help or feedback with anyone who has gone through a similar situation as mine having kids...
