    R.A.P. protein

Wow 5g seems so low to me. Each office is different. I was told nothing higher than 15g per serving... Most times its less than that. But there have been a few occasions it's reached 15g and I've been fine. No dumping. I have yet to try anything gummy bc of that concern and I'm four months out. I guess I'll continue with my meats, shakes and bars. Seems to help a lot anyhow.

    R.A.P. protein

Would absolutely love to hear more about these, especially if someone has tried them. I'm sure they'll have an awful taste but I can suck it up for that little extra boost of protein.
  6. We are 'foodies'! It's apart of us. In any situation -- social, functions, emotional and just bc! It'll always be hard for us I truly believe bc somehow it gives a lvl of comfort. I am only three months out and occasionally will see my kids or husband have something and (in my head, be drooling). But remember I CHOSE this new life and I'll be damned if food is to consume me again. I also love that 'now' when I eat I know a few bites before I'm getting full and mentally bc I know I could revert back to old ways if I (stretch) the pouch I can control it and stop immediately. What I once loved so so much I don't desire like I used to. Empanadas, tostones and rice were a weekly occurrence in my house. I had one bite when I got the go ahead and haven't had another since... Between my surgery and God I've gotten thru this quite easily.
  7. WOW! You look amazing!!! How much have you lost?Thank you so much. I'm down as of today 67 lbs and starting to love 'myself' again! Goal is for 49 more to go = 125 lbs for goal weight.Keep up good work. You look very beautiful. You'll be there before you know it. My surgery is scheduled for July 30th. 9 days to go. ???????? Thank you, @@tcon! Trying. It's still a daily battle of getting in enough this, less of that, but somehow it's so much easier. I'm excited for you. This truly is an amazing time and process. Get ready for it, it's a whole new way to live but SO worth it!!! I'm back to where I was before I had two girls and they're both almost 3 & 5!! I've always been on the heavy side but no like I have been since my first pregnancy. I wish you lots of luck and update me when your feeling up to it.

Try the gallon of water challenge. Buy a gallon, write w a sharpie the tike you wake up and every our after till you go to bed down the whole side of it, once the hour comes drink that amount. It really helps... It's a mental thing. I bet you'll get tons of water in then!

I Want To See Before & After Pics! (Cont'd)

Absolutely beautiful!! May I ask what are your stats? How long did it take you? Thank you. I started at 267, I am now 142 ish. From a size 22 jeans to a 6/8 jeans, my tops were 2xl, and I am now a size small top sometimes extra small tops, I still can't believe it. I had my surgery on May 31, 2013. It took my 10 months to lose all my weight. I had 800 calories, and worked out/ walked 5 times a week. Didn't cheat, and eat extremely well. I hope that helps. If you have anymore questions please let me know. Thank you for responding. Sorry been off for a few days. I'm so impressed with your stats and what a beautiful transformation. Congratulations. I hope to be there soon. 10 weeks out so far.

    Before and After Pics

looking great..have you been on a steady downward slope or did you have any plateaus? Is 57 lbs with preop diet or just since surgery? Thank you @DreamsComeTrue15. 12 lbs was during the week before surgery preop diet and the rest during. I've hit two stalls. The first was at about 3 weeks exactly. It lasted me about two weeks. The second one I have just finished and lasted me THREE weeks, yuppp three weeks... Smh. It sucked. I was beginning to think maybe I've just hit where my body is comfortable with. I was so afraid that I wasn't going to meet my goal of (125) and I wasted time, money and surgery for nothing. But I remembered my surgeons advice telling me, if you get into a stall, boost your Protein by 20+ grams and add exercises to your routine mix it up you'll be out of it... Did it for two days and now I am a believer that you must mix up your norm. I lost two lbs just by doing that. Starting weight, 240's Sugery Date, 228 Today, 183 GOAL, 125 (never been in my adult life). Age, 30 5' 3/4" Beautiful!! Great job.

  24. Thank you @@tcon! My advice, if you suffer from reflux and have battled wt issues I say go bypass. It's a decision I'll never regret. I do not miss anything that I enjoyed before. I feel better than ever. Recovery wasn't bad either. I'll pm you some of my reasons why I chose bypass over sleeve. Congratulations on deciding to go thru with wls. It's a big decision but for most changes our lives for the better.
  25. How much have you lost so far? Can't wait to see pictures!!! @@tcon in total I've lost 52lbs. I've posted a pic in the other forum but I can post here. Thank you.
