Stages of textures
It really depends on your surgeon, it varies a lot mine was 3 days clear liquids (counting 2 days in the hospital, 14 days of thickened liquids, all clears plus creamed soups, 7 days of purée/mushy foods then regular.

Venting!
Inconclusive just means they have no evidence that you should or shouldn't have the surgery. That's not really a bad thing. It seems like mine said that too. I wasn't recommended to see anyone else she just said "I can't say for defiant you should have surgery and I can't say you shouldn't " it pretty much means they don't have a decision either way so thanks insurance company for paying us 400 dollars!! Of course I was approved for the surgery they couldn't very well tell me no. The test they give is odd. She also said from my test she "graded" it said I "may use the healthcare system a lot more" or something like that, in other words I may be one of those people who runs to the Dr if I think any little thing is wrong. I told her no lady the only time I've been to the DR in the last 15 yrs is to have my 3 kids, and now after surgery I only go for check ups. So the test isn't 100% accurate. You may benefit from seeing someone but if you don't I don't think you will be denied especially if your results are "inconclusive". It's good that you answered honestly. They asked me about eating when I'm bored "umm yeah duh" and if I "test my food while I'm cooking" yep! Doesn't everybody? Anywho try not to let it bother you so.

Tell me about your surgery timeline pls
My First visit was August 11th and My actual surgery date was November 3rd. The best thing you can do to prevent delays is know your insurance Requirements (if you plan on having insurance cover cost) hear it from the insurance Companies mouth exactly what you have to do. Call customer service and have your pen and paper ready to Write. Most surgeons offices work with various insurance company's so it's not hard for them to get things mixed up. I have a wonderful surgeon but I caught a few mistakes along the way that saved me both time and money. (Like scheduling to many dietitian appointment that I didn't need ect...) it's just best to know YOUR specific plan so you know what to expect. Good luck!

Herbs and Spices
Oh and I love anything that requires curry!

Herbs and Spices
Well I'm Italian so I put garlic on everything! I like fresh rosemary on chicken, Basil and dill on fresh fish, bay leaves in stews, And cilantro in fresh salsa! I just loves spices in general so I have a cupboard full and just pull whatever sounds good out.

Do you notice how much others eat?
I only notice in my house because There are a lot of leftovers left that my husband has been working on now that I don't eat much...it's really shows me just how much I was actually eating in the house. To have sweets sitting around and throwing out half a peach pie that didn't get eaten Is just astonishing because that NEVER would have happened had I not had this surgery....I defiantly would have had them ate!! Thank Jesus I'm not that way anymore....maybe that's my first NSV?!!!
