40f bougie anyone?
Mine is a 38 so only mm smaller. I've lost over 30 lbs now in 6 weeks and I have a lot of restriction...a lot! Bougie size is just a guide. The surgeons stapling and sewing techniques can make all the difference!

3 days post op and discouraged
@@dawnlatonya I say 6 days. My pain meds didn't work worth a hoot either so my surgeon prescribed me a stronger narcotic that worked extremely well. Ask your DR! He/she may give you something better to help. No point in being in so much pain. Good luck!

@@grace1989 I would think that should be fine especially if it will help you drink your shakes but you can always ask your DR.

Required 3 years of medical records
@@darby0375 They will have to approve you first and once your approved they can't come back and bill you. It is a chance as far as being approved or not that you will have to take if you want to find out. You can write a paper to submit with your paper work as to why your weight was lower...like dieting. That's what I did! My BMI was 32 but I also was getting married and practically starved my self to get skinny for my dress ugh! But a lot of women do and they know that. They also required that I write down every diet that I had tried in the two years, well obviously if I'm dieting I'm losing weight. That wasn't the problem the problem was I couldn't keep it off! Which is why after My wedding within a year I had put on 50+ lbs and my BMI was 40.

I haven't done anything right
@@ELI.p.m Cut that crap out! You know better! You have to be stronger! If you can't remove the food from your house remove yourself from the food! Only you have control of the hand to mouth routine! Willpower. Use some willpower! Find alternative foods! Come on now you can do better than this! Start over now. Track what you put in your mouth, get a hobby ect to take your mind off of it. Get on a food eating "routine". Remember the reasons why you wanted this! Write them down and carry them with you. If all else fails take a picture of yourself in a bikini (bra and undies..whatever) and look at it when you want to eat junk! Good luck!

Required 3 years of medical records
My insurance co required 2 years BCBS fed. And I only had two documents both with a BMI of around 32! I have no co-morbids and they approved me. I was suppose to show two years at a BMI of 40. I was 40 at my first weigh-in though.

Dieting
The problem with carbs for most people is that we over eat them. Carbs in moderation are ok. But how many of us who are overweight eat in serving sizes? I know I didn't so if you can't control your portions to the correct serving size some carbs (bad) will cause you to pack on the pounds. In my case it's just best to avoid the bad carbs all together And find alternatives.
