  1. @@VSGAnn2014 Well now, we can't agree on everything! That would just be weird! : )- I'm not talking about people who need the surgery I'm talking about the people who just want to be skinny and aren't even overweight in any sense of the word. Like.....people who have their ribs taken out just to have a smaller waist. No reason for it BUT If you have the money you will find a surgeon to do it for you. Like certain celebs! But like I said before to each his own I don't care I'm not paying for it and it doesn't effect me so....I'm just grateful for what I have. Like I always say "don't let your food get cold while your busy looking at everyone else plate".
  2. Lol this cracks me up!!!! I was also joking, you know making a play on words...man I don't know if it's the stress of the holidays or what but people are so pissy today!
  3. @@Gendy That's the same pre-op I had plus broth. It's just going to take willpower and it should start to get better. Just make sure your spacing out the shakes and drink as much water as you can. I know it can be hard hang in there!
  4. Do you have an on call Dr? They Usually have an on call dr for emergencies that can be reached.
  5. The quest company sent me 3 free bars. There's a link of different company's that deal in batiatrics that will send you samples. I can't remember what it was but you can google it.
  6. Awe babies are cute but they sure can do some serious rearranging to your body. I would think you might want to wait awhile and let your body recuperate From this surgery. That's a good question for your surgeon! Good luck!
  7. I do the usual egg whites with turkey sausage cheese and 1/4 an avocado. I also like to mix it all and bake it in a muffin Pan that way they are portable individual servings and you can add whatever you want.
  8. I get the ready-made shakes at SAMs, they have them at regular Walmart too but it's Cheaper to buy a case at Sams
  9. @@BitterSweet* Happy New Years!
  10. Call off the disciples this is not your last supper! It may be your last "large supper" ! Good luck on your pre-op and surgery!!! Stay strong and follow the rules!
  11. I think she's just asking opinions about a subject she's been seeing. It's ok to wonder about things, it's ok to have a question and ask what others Think. I'm sure there are people out there that may not have actually needed the surgery but have the money and means to leave the country to Have it done out of vanity...I'm also sure there are surgeons in the world that are all about the money and could give a rats butt wether it's in the best interest of the patient or not. Everybody is entitled to their own opinion. I'm not sure who these people are she's actually referring to but It's a question of interest and I don't think she's asking to piss anyone off or cause a "riot".
  12. Congrats! You already got some good advice!
  13. As long as your not running a temp you should be ok.
  14. That's normal until you can get in all you nutrients you will probably be tired. Keep at it and take those vitamins!
  15. My favorite gift was a antique cushion cut ring from my husband and our favorite gift to give was the presents to our adopted christmas family.
  16. Find a new hobby to keep you busy, use your willpower and keep the prize in sight. Good luck!
  17. 50 pounds is not a tremendous amount of weight BUT try carrying around 50 lbs for a day....it's heavy and it's hard on your body. I don't know how they would be getting approved by insurance but if it's out of pocket then to each their own. There is a risk in any surgery, boobs, lips, liposuction , butt ect but If you want it and your willing to pay it doesn't matter what anyone else thinks. A Lot of us only had 50 lbs extra and then it grew...I wish I had had it done at 50 lbs instead of 100 it would have saved me some misery.
  18. Congrats Happy holidays to you!
  19. Nothing! Absolutely nothing changed and I was really worried after reading some post that I would have bloody horrible cramps ect...but I'm as regular and as normal as before. I'm still too new for the rest of your questions.
  20. @@PerfectlyImperfect88 You probably won't get the protein requirements in directly after surgery, most don't. You will just have to keep working at it day by day until you do. Hydration is also going to be a biggie so you will really have to make a conscious effort to focus on them both. It's normal. Good luck to you!
  21. @@bunsy First of all sorry for your loss, it hard to stay focused when your going through something like that. As far as motivation I liked to see before and after pics, watch YouTube videos, Hang out on here, and write down on paper what I wanted. Those things always helped me to stay motivated, that and seeing dreaded pictures of myself.
