  1. Sugar free syrups add variety as well. I use the vanilla premier protein and add a teaspoon or two to it mix it and drink. You can also put liquid vitamins in it as well and syrup hides the taste. It tastes great. Stay away from the strawberry it sucks.
  2. Hi. I am a 42 year old female and I weigh 243 with my starting weight 279.my height is 5"1and I have sleep apnea. I am currently on a 3 months supervised diet plan with my pcp and have lost over 30 pounds. I am looking at surgery on March 15th. I agree March is a great month because we will have 2 to 3 months before it gets really hot and we will have transitioned to solids for the summer months. Studies have shown people exercise more in the spring and eat less in the summer. Gives us time to really hit the ground running for our weight loss. Cycling here I come.
  3. I have started taking no more then an hour nap then I get up a do what I need to do and go to the gym. My husband knows that if I take more then 90 minutes he will not sleep well because I will keep him up so he makes sure I am up. This helps more then I can say.
  4. I tried the Premier Protein shakes vanilla and chocolate. The chocolate was good but the strawberry tastes like crap. Also tried the unjury chicken broth good choice if you need salt mix it with real chicken broth to make it even more palatable. Vitamin Shoppe also has a zero carb powder that is not bad. Have some more samples to try this weekend. Stunned my surgeon when I went in he informed me he had never had a patient as well informed. I like to over research topics. It gives me a sense of control. I have a fear of surgery and needles makes what I am going to do somewhat stressful.

    Who Are You?

Ladies if your spirit is any indications then I have no doubt you will be successful. Sometimes the only thing you can do is look at yourself and accept that you are more then your weight. Then get back up on that d...m horse and ride it for all it is worth. One step leads to another until you look back in amazement that you made it so far. Let this be our step.

    Who Are You?

Hi I am Dawn and I have been married over 20 years to my college sweet heart. I have a 17yr old daughter and a 14 year old son. In addition, I have 186 adopted babies as I call them. I have always struggled with my weight. The only time I was ever successful with my weight was when I weighed my food. At that point I was only eating 4oz at a meal three times a day. That did not last long. I see the sleave as a way to gain control of my portions and my eating. My husband worries because he sees my mobility diminish as I get older. I am 42 years old and walk like I am 90. I have started the process for the sleeve surgery. I have two more pcp visits go my three month insurance required diet plan. So far I have lost 20 pounds in two months by weighing my food and cuttting all carbs. Atkins diet on meth so to speak. But don't know how much longer I can keep it up. So tired of my weight making my choices for me.

    So Cold!

It took me two years after I lost 100 pounds for my body temp to reach equilibrium. After that I still got cold but not the bone chilling cold I experienced during my rapid weight loss.
  8. Sorry blonde moment...I am in Nashville TN.
  9. I just realized my first post looked like I had been drinking all night and never graduated high school. So sorry...My last pcp visit will be January 9th. I have a required 3 months of diet monitoring to complete and the my 2nd consult with the surgeon is January 22nd. My psychological is Monday. I would also like to connect with others.
  10. I told only my son and my husband. I haven't told my daughter because when I mentioned WLS to her she stated it was cheating. She is 17 and in college so she is oblivious. When I told her I was going in for sugery on my esophagus because of a stricture she suggested I leave it alone because it made me lose weight. Swallowing water hurt and food was a no no. She seems to think that if I just stop eating and go to the gym I will be skinny. Otherwise I have on told my husband. I am tired of my weight making the choices for me.

    Lack of attraction

You look great. Remember attraction is 10 percent looks and 90 percent attitude. I have a friend who goes out with me girls night out. Without fail I always end up with some cute guy flirting with me. To put this in perspective I weigh 150 pounds more then her. I tell her all the time that people see the you in which you project. Simply put; sexy is a state of mind.
  12. Ladies now the outside matches the inside. Beautiful and sassy. Go girls!!!

    Do you guys ever...

I have always loved food. But I find it easier to not over eat if I just tell myself I can have it tomorrow. I sometimes eat the left overs meal after meal until I want something else. It always helps that after thanksgiving dinner I premeasure everything as I am putting it away. If you deny yourself you often lose.
  14. Is anyone looking at Vgs in February? I just started my journey and looking for someone to connect with.
