    I suck....:(

Debbie, you had WLS to GET OFF that diet, pill, book, fad, roller coaster. You will get where you want to be,one pound a week adds up, and you will look and feel great, when those other girls have lost and gained again and again. Read this forum every day, go to your support groups, and in a year those others will be begging to know who your surgeon is!

    What's your goal look?

I have no idea who Jillian is, but I think the apple lady looks great,(I'd also like her hair!) NORMAL is what I'd like. I want to go to the mall with my 17 year old daughter, and be able to look at clothes for me at the same stores she is shopping! (NO more Lane Bryant!)
  6. they have people from all over go there, I'm sure you could get into a support group closer, (really important, you will learn so much!) someone on here could probably help. I didnt meet him before, because I was supposed to have a different surgeon. Once you have the surgery your appointments will be with the nurses and technitions (sp?) at the center. If you know what kind of band you want be sure to talk it over with them before your surgery. I didnt know the difference, and got the 4cc band. I have been doing ok, but I wish I would have known more about it.
  7. I had surgery at Hurley with Dr. Farhan in Nov 07. I only talked with him once, after surgery. They are kind of impersonal, but I havent had any problems at all, and have lost 45lbs since Nov 29. The support groups are nice, everyone from pre surgery to years out post surgery go at the same time. Its nice to hear from everyone.
  8. Cindy, I went from 1 cc to a full 2ccs, because I whined so much to the nurse, I really feel it now. Maybe 2cc's will do it for you too. hope so! I am finding that I really dont mind losing slowly, I didnt tell many people I was getting a band, due to poor attitudes about it. People think I'm just really good at dieting!
  9. Elle, you are doing great!! I'm glad somebody else on here has a 4cc band too, I just had a fill last Mon. up to 2cc, I really didnt feel it much till yesterday (friday) Up until then, I really felt no restriction at all.
  10. I'm stalled, I have my 2nd fill Feb. 11. Tryin to hang in there till then...
  11. Marcy, Nov 29 for me, with Dr. Farhan.

    intro and some ??'s

Cat, I see you were banded on the 24th of Nov. I was on the 29th. You should check with your doc before "working out" I am not supposed to do much but walk till I go back the 14th of Jan. I had a friend whose port flipped because she did too much too soon. Please be careful, and be happy with a slow loss, if necessary. The best to you...

    Is UnJury worth it?

I think you get sick of any of them after awhile.... I have had Isopure dutch chocolate, Jarrow unflavored, and the Better MD products. All not bad at first. I just tried Unjury chocolate today, and I have to say it is the best so far. I mixed it with FF milk, shook it, and got NO foam, and I noticed no odor. not quite as good as Nestles, but darn close.
  15. Hi everyone, it has been good reading about everyone else, so I thought I'd jump in. Banded on Nov 29 doing great! Just been walking around the house and in the yard, but I'm going to get back on the treadmill tommorrow. How are you getting all your proteins and liquids in? I'm supposed to use a one ounce cup, no more than one in 15 mins. sure feel alot better, just using the liquids for two weeks, not sluggish and lazy like before. Congrats to everyone, Cathy
