    Keep getting sick... Feedback needed!

up your Protein intake and take your Vitamins religiously......add Vitamin c to your regimen. Everyone says that hair loss is normal.....maybe it is for a woman but i eat or drink 80-100 grams of protein a day and I have not loss one strand of hair. Good luck to you!!!

    STALLS

JamieLogical.......no weight loss at all for 3 weeks. I small loss would be so much better than no loss!! @ Pac-woman, yes I did increase my caloric intake by a few hundred calories. Idk....maybe this is just normal. I read somewhere that you will stall at the weight where you spent the majority of your life at. I was 255-265 for over 20 years.
  3. I lost 15 lbs pre surgery and 15 lbs the first week on the liquid diet. Since then in 15 weeks, Ive lost 44 lbs....not quite a 3 lb a week average. Not exactly flying off BUT any LOSS is BETTER than any GAIN!!! GOOD LUCK AND KEEP YOUR CHIN UP!!!!!
  4. New whey makes a liquid Protein that comes in many different flavors. It has 42 grams of protein in a lil 3.8 oz bottle. I mix mine with flavored Water or propel. Good luck to you!!!!

    Plastics in Mexico?

There is a place in Monterrey that does outstanding work and the prices are that of the sleeve $4300-4700 with a week stay included in the price....but for the life of me ......I can not recall the name of it. Good luck!!

    Let your voices be heard!

Talk is cheap!! If everyone wants to think that having WLS is the easy way out....let them think that. It's no skin off my nose. They are only showing their ignorance. WLS is a permanent tool HOWEVER, it CAN FAIL just like every other diet does!! I read a thread earlier and I'd like to repeat one line........." THEY OPERATE ON YOUR STOMACH....NOT YOUR BRAIN!!" Overcoming our bad mental habits is just as hard with or without the surgery. I used to watch the show regularly but then I read somewhere that over 60% of the contestants regain the weight that they lost. I really wonder who the biggest loser is

    ? About Genepro unflavored

I guess it really depends on the individual's taste buds. I tried it with Water, with crystal light and it made the crystal light taste different. I ended up mixing it body fortress vanilla powered Protein and used it all up.

Why You Lose Hair After Surgery

I thought it was because there wasn't enough protein in a person's diet
  9. Once a week......on Wednesday.....cuz Wednesday was the day that I had my sleeve performed

    Help! Always hungry

Can you tell the difference between head hunger and actual belly hunger?? Old habits are hard to break and sometimes I find myself nibbling ALL the time......out of sheer boredom cuz my head tells me....."Oh my gosh......you are trying to starve me!!!"

    Queasy feeling after eating

It happens to me quite often and it's one of two things. #1 I am eating too fast......or #2 its something that your sleeve is not ready for yet.

I've only been averaging 5-8lb loses a month!, So consider yourself lucky.

I'm finishing up 2 weeks at the gym tomorrow and I've been going 4 times a week for 1-2hrs at a time and really have seen no significant weight loss. And I've been low carb and watching what I eat *eye roll*. I don't get it.

I count every sinking pound I lost from my highest current. In the midst of a wicked steal that's going on 3 weeks now. Grrr.

Weight loss is a tricky monster HalloweenBaby. I know people who dont eat right or exercise and they lose quite a bit rather quickly others don't. I've noticed for me anyways that make caloric intake needs to be around the 1000-1200 range and I need at least 48 oz of water and 80-100 grams of protein. Try to keep your chin up and not get discouraged......I know that's not an easy task cuz I fight with that every single day. Any loss is better than any gain is what I keep telling myself. I didn't get fat overnight and I won't get skinny overnight.

    grilled or boiled......yes.....fried.......no!!

    did you tell people?

This topic has been brought up so much.......but the bottom line is ......its your choice whether or not you tell anyone. In my own case the majority of my friends and family aren't stupid. I've tried so many diets over the past 25 years and my weight has yo-yo'd. Now, at age 50, I've lost 70+ lbs......they know that something is up. If they ask......I tell them. Having WLS is NOT a guarantee that you will lose weight. It is an aid to lose weight.....just like every diet out there. You have to stick with it or it will FAIL. There is no right or wrong answer here......its just an opinion. BUT.......I would rather be judged and criticized for the person who had WLS than be judged for being the FAT person.....cuz eventually everyone will forget that you were once fat!!!!!

Slow weight loss - feeling very low

Slimgal 2015, the amount of insulin that you take will hinder your weight loss. Before my surgery, I was taking over 400 units of insulin per day (R&N combined).......now i take about 120. I have good weeks and bad weeks. In 17 days on the liquid diet, I took NO insulin and lost 30 pounds.....YES 30 lbs!!!! I started soft foods and had to start taking insulin again....not as much tho. I have lost an additional 38 lbs in 9 weeks of being on regular food. Not exactly big numbers.....but hey a loss is a loss, right???? Some tips for you......increase your calorie intake to 800-1000. ALWAYS have a carb with your Protein. Make your carbs match the insulin that you take not visa versa. Try to exercise more....diabetes hates exercise!!!! Good luck to you!!! May GOD give you the strength to lift your head high and complete your journey!!!!
  18. ALMOST to the halfway point of my journey!! woo hoo!!!!

    Old and new memories.

I had to put my rottie Ace down a year and a half ago. My ex told me that I loved him more than I did my kids.....well, he was one of my children AND always there for me. I am so sorry for your loss, Kindle.

    Fluid intake

New whey makes a liquid Protein that comes in a 3.8 oz bottle that has 42 grams of protein. It comes in many flavors. I mix it with a similar flavor of crystal light or mio and kill 2 birds with one stone.
  21. posted a collage pic of my journey's progress so far!!!

  22. @ Annie 77, if you are feeling weak.....up your protein intake!!
  23. #1 it is totally 100% unhealthy!! It is virtually impossible to stay in that range. 3 Protein shakes a day would give you between 480 and 900 calories a day depending on which brand you use.
  24. Packerfan61964

    80 grams of protein?

I know it is different for men and women but I easily get in 100grams of Protein a day. I buy New whey liquid Protein. It has 42 grams of protein per a 3.8 fl oz bottle. $2.68 a bottle a walmart. It comes in different flavors and I mix it with crystal light mio or propel of similar flavor. GOOD LUCK!!!!
  25. Hit my first stall!! Been at 272 for over a week! :-(

Non scale victories! Loose clothing/buying new smaller clothes, being able to cross legs or not having to use handicapped bathroom stall to be able to manure wiping, not being winded walking up stairs, people being able to put their arms around you all the way...etc. Noticing these things or keeping them in mind really helped me when the scale wouldn't budge during my first stall
