  1. It's like you're being reborn, so to say, a new life, a new start. Don't look at what you HAVE done. Look FORWARD to what you are going to do and accomplish. Surround yourself with all the tools you may need. You can do this!!!!!!!!!!!

  9. My GP is not aware. I've been seeing him for 19 years. I'm affraid he'll try to talk me out of it. I just wanted to make sure I wouldn't need to follow up specifically with a bariatric doc. That's great haleytrim!
  10. I never thought about my insurance not covering any issue I might have after. Not that I'm expecting any, just trying to cover all basis. Thank you so much. What hospital & doc did you use?
  11. For those of you that went out of your area to have surgery, how did you address follow up care? I plan on going to Mexico. I'm affraid that should I need a doctor here, in the states, that they won't take me because they didn't do my surgery. What have others done?
  12. How long did it take for them to give you the approval?
  13. I am waiting in approval to go to Tijuana. I'm nervous as well about going out of the country. I feel as if I've done all the homework that can be done. Hearing from others just validates that Mexico is fine.
  14. That's not too bad.
  15. I faxed over my health assessment to MBC. Could you let me know how long I may have to wait for approval? It's killing me..lol
  16. I'm waiting on an approval from MBC and its killing me! Please let me know how long you had to wait.
  17. I have not had surgery yet, but I have told anyone who will listen. I tend to tell too much. But everyone has been supportive and even intrested themselves. They are even asking advice. I have had a couple say it seems extreme, but they are still supportive
  18. This thread was hilarious! I love love love jerky. Nice to know I can stock up when it's time
  19. Did you pick him or did they assign you? I have no idea which one to go with. Also, did you work with Cindy at all?
  20. Has anyone had their surgery at the Mexico Bariatric Center? If so, which doctor did you use and what was your experience? I have turned in my health assessment to them and to Ohio State University. I was accepted through OSU, but it's more expensive and takes forever. I have not heard back from MBC yet, so I'm waiting on pins & needles.
  21. That's awesome! Such inspiration! I do not have a surgery date yet, so I have not started anything. I'm still deciding where to go. Keep up the good work!
