  1. I wasn't allowed salads till 3 months.
  2. Going with the same weight of 170. On my cycle and not getting near a scale!
  3. You look great! I'm in the same boat. I'm 9.5 months out and I'm 10 lbs from goal. I've been at a standstill for the past 2 weeks. I feel great though!
  4. CW- 170 Goal- 160 160 was my original goal! Hoping to get there. It's taking forever to get out the 170's!
  5. I only got one in the hospital and that was it.
  6. I'm 9.5 months out so I don't know if that's veteran to you or not but I was down 32 lbs at the 1 month mark. Everyone is different.?
  7. I eat a small amount of almonds almost every day with my plain Greek yogurt. I'm 9 months out. I just started eating nuts a couple months ago.
  8. It's so odd how different people's bodies are. I'm 5 ft 4 inches and I weigh 170 but yet I'm in a size 12. Crazy! My original goal was 160. As I'm getting closer to that I'm considering a change to 150. We will see. I'd be happy in a size 10. I think! Lol
  9. I exercise about 3-4 times per week. I'm also an ER nurse so I'm constantly moving. I do weights and I jog. However, I'm extremely strict with my plan. I've never even had a bite of something I'm not supposed to. I don't eat any sweets or any pasta, rice, bread, potatoes. I log and weigh everything I eat. It has worked for me so far.
  10. I bought a inexpensive one from Walmart. At 9 months out, I still use it daily.
  11. 3 months- down 60 lbs 6 months- down 90 lbs 9 months (now)- down 116 lbs
  12. 171 today. Thanks!
  13. Why not call your surgeon before going to the ER?
  14. I'm the size I was when I was 17 yet I still think I'm fat. I'm hoping that will change eventually.
  15. That seems high to me. I'm 9 months out and stay between 900-1100 a day. Usually don't reach 1100. I'm 10 lbs from goal. I don't plan to up my calories any until I get below goal.
  16. The date I started my 2 week pre op diet is what I use. I also personally keep track of how much I have lost from my highest weight, which was about 1 year before having surgery.
  17. I'm in. Hopefully this challenge gets me to my goal!
  18. I will be 9 months out next week and am still extremely strict on my program. I've lost 115 lbs and I am 12 lbs to goal. I feel amazing. I do not cheat. Not even a bite. Have never had cake or sweets or bread, rice, pasta, etc.... For me, it is just better to avoid it entirely. I'm still losing about 8 lbs a month give or take. I have points where I stall a bit but then it starts moving again. I will probably adjust my original goal a bit. Depends on how I feel when I get there. Good luck!
  19. 174 today. Thanks!
  20. I think you look great! People need to stop making comments. I'm not even to goal yet but my co workers are already starting to make comments about how I'm obsessive and need to eat more. You know what I think? I think people like to have fat people around them to make themselves feel better. Now that I'm not that person anymore, they don't know how to act! In addition, I'm an ER nurse and its a myth that all people with AIDS look a certain way. You can't pick them out the waiting room! People are just crazy!
  21. 176....slow but going down
  22. Today is my birthday and it will be my first birthday without cake ever! And I'm ok with that! I'm 8.5 months out and I've been through all the holidays without even having a bite of something bad. Today is no different. In the past, I would have had to have a cake and I would haven't eaten several pieces a day until it was gone. No more of that. Going to enjoy my day knowing that I am 110 lbs lighter. No piece of cake is worth that!!!!
