    5 days out

Thanks Karen, I hope your pain eases. Mine is placed right at the bottom of a roll and I think that is adding to this discomfort but today it felt a little better. The gas pain has been the worst

    Sweet joy of a NSV!

Congrats on your success! I can't wait to have that feeling
  3. I was very happy to see a positive post too. I just mentioned to my husband that it seems all the posts on here are negative and it's disheartening. I went for my one week follow up today and a down 14 pounds since my one week prior to surgery visit. Thank you for making some positive posts that show this was worth it. I am so happy to see that people are pleased with their choice
  4. I had to cheat a little from full liquids. Hunger pains are no joke. Cottage cheese has been one thing I have used and soft soups

Does it improve and eventually not hurt?

    5 days out

Hello all, my name is Elizabeth. I was banded the morning of 10/2/14 and am now 5 days out. I went back to work today as an RN doing home health, all went pretty well but I am still sore. I feel like the port was placed right in the bottom of my upper fat roll and I get pressure pushing on it when I sit and sometimes a burning sensations. Has anyone else had this after surgery? The other incisions look and feel fine. I am still having a lot of pressure and gas pain that makes me feel like I can't take a deep breath and sometimes radiates to my left shoulder. Hoping that goes away soon. Any tips or pointers would be greatly welcomed. I feel like with all the swelling and bloating, I weigh more now than prior to the surgery. Also running out of ideas for soft foods to eat lol. I see the doctor tomorrow for my one week follow up, after the first fill, did you then start to see weight loss? Anxious and ready to see a difference, even a small one.
