Hello Orlando peeps,
I didn't even know we had a locals part of this site until just now. My name is James. I had my sleeve done by Dr. Jawad on June 25th. It was a great experience. I was only in the hospital over night. My pain is minimal and I was back sitting at my desk in 3 working days (+ a weekend). I'll be getting my staples out Monday. Can't wait.
Perhaps I'll see some of you at the group meeting in a week.

Same here. I even had to take MOM just to go every 3 days and it was super hard....even caused bleeding. Once I started adding insoluble Fiber to my shakes and yogurt, I've had regular, soft daily BM's.
For me, soluble fiber like Metamucil and benefiber did nothing. It had to be insoluble fiber. I currently use a mixture of ground flax seed and Now Foods apple fiber.

@ I wondered the same thing. I was also super hungry all the time. It all changes once you move to soft foods. You will TOTALLY feel the restriction then!

I'm one week post op. Has anyone had mashed up avocado at this point? I'm desperate for real food!!

I had my surgery on February 26 2015, and I feel great. I had been researching the process for quite awhile and I just finally decided I had to do take action and I'm very happy I did. It's been 6 weeks and I have lost 30 lbs with a total of 45 lbs including the weight I lost prior to my surgery. I was just wondering if that seems right, I feel like I should have lost more by now. Just wondering.

Hello my name is Kelly, I recently had the gastric sleeve done on January 13th. I was diagnosed with poly cystic ovary syndrome back in 2006 and that is when my weight became such a struggle for me. I have lost 45 pounds so far and feel fantastic!!! I would recommend this surgery to anyone who is considering it.

I was sleeved in July and I have drank 4xs since mid September and I'm still loosing! Oh and It hasn't made me an alcoholic so that's a plus!! I drink vodka with Water and squeeze the flavored drops in it. My favorites are strawberry lemonade or fruit punch. I do feel the effects a little quicker but not much of a difference in my overall tolerance since before the surgery.

I am on my second bag of GENEPRO Protein powder. It is my safety net when I can't get all my protein from food, which is often since I am still learning to balance food and Water. I made Beans and ham after Christmas and I was adding it to that. I also still have lite and fit yogurt on hand to add it to either in the morning to Jumpstart my protein for the day or at night if I don't hit my protein that day.

Yes GENEPRO is a life saver. I use it in all kinds of stuff.

I LOVE Genepro! It's the only Protein I've tried that is really flavorless. I am a fan of genepro! Even if it only gave u 15 grams of Protein still a awesome source of protein to add to anything!

My sister made me the best devil eggs. I am 15 days post op however when I fixed scramble eggs they were horrible. Almost every soft and puréed food I eat is horrible except cream of wheat and devil eggs. I still love cheese thank God but don't eat much don't want to be constipated ????????
