So I have been at 40lbs lost for about two weeks. I can not get a fill until March 4th. I wish Dr. Fowler told me that it would take weeks to get a fill. I called a week ago and thefirst available was Feb. 26 but I can not make it that day, so the first date I can go is the 4th. I am able to eat anything. That is making it very hard. Hello Everyone, I hope that everyone is doing well. Who will be attending the February support group? Not sure if everyone got an email about paying for the scrapbooking thing through Ben Franklin. I am doing ok. I am now starting to really struggle with having no restriction and then mental hunger. How long did everyone wait for their first fill? Did anyone hear that Dr. Fowler is doing the fills differently? I hear he is using ultrasound and that some peoples insurance covers the fill not. Not sure if this is true but that is what I hear. Can anyone confirm this. I guess I should ask next week when I have my 1 month follow-up. Any suggestions on what everyone ate during the mushie stage that might be exciting. Hello, I also dont feel full like i did prior to getting the band. I just eat a cup and I am done. I am on the full liquid stage still. So sometimes I have 1/2 a cup of cottage cheese and 1/4 cup of applesauce and I am not hungry after. When I get really hungry it hurts. I find I am having to get to know my hunger and full signals all over again. I just dont feel hungry hardly ever and usually it is more that I am mentally wanting to eat. I would love to get together with everyone next weekend is anyone free on the 19th or 20th? Have a great day. Natasha

Dolphina, Good luck with your process. Do you live on the Windward side of the island. Maybe a bunch of us could get together for a healthy lunch and a nice walk at Hoomaluhia in Kaneohe. I would totally be interested in getting together to do things like that. Natasha

Hello Everyone, It was great to run in to you yesterday Miriam. I am sorry to hear about people frustration with the band. I am doing really well so far. I am down a total of 27 pounds, 12 prior to surgery and 15 since my surgery on 12/26. I am finding the hardest part for me is the mental portion of food. Like I think oh I need that or I want to eat. Which for me is very different than actually being hungry, when I am really hungry it is uncomfortable. I am finding walking makes me feel better, I can not wait to get back to the gym. My resolutions 1. Make more money (lots more) 2. Wear a size 16 by New Years Eve 3. Either have my daughter at Sacred Hearts Academy, Maryknoll or if she doesn't get in move to Oregon in the summer 4. Better relationship with my daughter and mother 5. Stop taking my blood pressure medication 6. Stop using apna machine 7. Get my daughter to eat healthier and exercise with me 8. Spend Spring Break in Oregon 9. Las Vegas in April with all the cousins 10. Not sure on this one yet Thanks for asking Mirim, helps keep me accountable. Natasha

I am a social worker with Child Welfare, I also work with teens. My job is really stressful I think I need at least a week or so off. I feel better today. I am not hungry still.

I came home from the hospital today. I am a little sore, but not hungry at all just really thirsty. I would love to hook up at the mall. Let me know when and where. How long did everyone stay home after surgery? I think I want to stay home for two weeks, my job is really stressful and I am constantly on the go. Happy New Year. Natasha:clap2:

Aloha, Jennifer called me today to say that they are not doing my surgery on the 18th it will be on the 26th. I am a little bit sad but it will give me more time to get all my work done. Is anyone going on Wednesday night? Natasha

Aloha Everyone, I am going on Wednesday night and hope to see everyone there. Is it a party should I bring something to eat? I think I remember someone saying there was a gift exchange too. I got a call on Friday from Jennifer asking if I am available on the 18th of Dec. to do my surgery. I still have to see the psychologist and my second appointments with Cindy & Mary. It is going to be busy week to get everything done but I am excited. I have lost 8 pounds so far, six of those in the 9 days after I met with Mary. That really motivated me to stay on track with eating and my walking. Can someone tell me how to get one of the weight tickers? Hope you had a great weekend. Natasha

My name is Natasha and I am new to the site. I just started the process at Castle. I had my first meeting with Dr. Fowler last week, found out yesterday that my insurance approved the surgery, and met with Jennifer today. I have my first meeting with Mary on Nov. 13th. Sounds like everyone here is doing well. I am starting to get excited. Have a great weekend!!!
