  1. Kfohiotime4change, how are you doing?
  2. Thank you TXBrittBritt. Trying to stay positive. Your posts are so motivational.
  3. Unjry, WonderSlim, and Celebrate all have good tasting products.
  4. Nice to meet you Meep. Keep us posted!
  5. So glad for you, TXBrittBritt.. Keep posting! I need the motivation I had to postpone my surgery because my back went out and can't sit or stand. So depressed and let down, but am seeing a back specialist on Monday (instead of my sleeve). Hopefully he can get me over this quickly so I can get on with my weight loss. I've decided to stay on my pre-op diet I hopes that wil speed up my rescheduling. I'm down 46 lbs. since starting this journey. Who ever thought a scale could be motivation?!
  6. Congratulations!!!!! So excited for you!
  7. I'm June 8 too! I have tried WonderSlim, Celebrate, and Bariatric Advantage. I really like the first 2 but Bariatric advantage is ok too. I've tried the chocolate, vanilla, cheesecake, and cinnamon roll flavor sand have been surprising good. Since I've been on my period-op diet for 2 weeks, have tried quite a few of them.
  8. Welcome, Mel77. Good luck to you. This forum has helped me a lot. Where are you having your's done?
  9. Thanks TXBritt. I'll do that
  10. TxBritt, thanks for posting you're post op. It's making me feel much better about next Monday. I hope I like see this hungry feeling before too long. The post-op diet has not been bad and I find I'm eating less than they say I can. Today though I've been hungry all day!
  11. Others on here have probably been faster than mine. I have seen some that the turn around time has only been a couple of months. I have Aetna insurance and they required a lot of hoops to jump through including dietician visits for four months in a row. I have been on this journey since last September. I have, however, lost 41 pounds during that time and feel better all ready. I've been on my pre-op diet for a week and it hasn't been bad at all. Love Dr. Nick!
  12. The doctor has not mentioned this to me, but I will call his office to find out. I also misunderstood what compression garments you guys were talking about. I wasn't thinking of Spanks type garments. The only compression items I've ever had to wear were those that they put on your legs in the hospital. Thanks for the information.
  13. Why did you have to buy them? I thought once you left the hospital, you didn't have to wear them
  14. Welcome! You can do this! This forum is one of the best support groups I've found. The pre-op diet has not been too bad at all. Not nearly as horrible as I'd imagined.
  15. 5 days on my pre-op diet and it's been ok. Today at a college baseball game my strength was tested. There's not much better than a ball park hot dog, but I made it. Sugar free popsicles and Ketogenx peanut bars have helped me through.
  16. Wow! You're ahead of the game doing the pre-op diet and not even thinking about it!
  17. Good job. Doing the pre-op diet without even having g to think about it!
  18. I can do 5 shakes and/or bars + 1 1200 calorie protein rich meal
  19. Day 5 of pre-op. Doing ok. I'm at a college baseball game and it's so tempting. Nothing better than a hot dog at a ballpark! Resisted into the bottom of 8. Ivan do this!
  20. Welcome to the forum! Your date is just 2 days after mine. R u on a pre-op diet now? I started mine yesterday and it hasn't been too bad so far.
  21. Congratulations! I'm on my 2nd day of pre-op diet and it's going ok so far. I'm just trying to keep the prize in sight. June 8 is coming fast.
  22. I plan to go to the group support groups. I don't think there is one between now and my surgery date.
  23. Thinking of you today and sending good vibes for your surgery. When you can, let us know how you're doing and what it's like
  24. Started my pre-op diet yesterday and it went ok. Just trying to do one day at a time and keep my eye on the prize. Family support has been essential for me. My husband and son are helping me so much. You can do this!
