Hi, I asked my neurologist the same question but in relation to migraines. He said as my body is eating fat reserves it is releasing toxins into my blood stream that can bring on a migraine/ headache. I hope they go away for you, I am getting 3 migraines a week now post surgery!

sorry I accidentally posted twice (stupid ipad), I rang him when it happened and he said he'd pull it out by endoscopy but he wont be at the hospital till Tuesday (it's Sunday AM here).

There isn't much point as we are rural and if I rock up to the local hospital ER they will just tell me they can't deal with it and to go down to town.

Yes well if it's still stuck on Tuesday I will make the 2hr trek to his hospital for the endoscopy but I suppose I will just have to cope till then

Hi yes I did call him when it happened and he suggested soda Water to try and push it out - tried it and have had no luck. he had offered to pull it out by endoscopy but can't do it till Tuesday (Sunday AM here atm). I was just hoping there was some other "trick" lol

Hi yes I have 7 to take at night, I haven't been able to take them normally since surgery. At the moment I am trying taking them singularly each have hour from when I get home till I go to bed.

I have been trying on and off the whole time but I don't have much of a gag reflex and have had no luck at bringing up anything but saliva.

Any help would be so appreciated I am 4 weeks post gastric bypass and my surgeons nutritionist said I could now try some steamed chicken, well it's gotten well and truly stuck. It's been stuck for over 48hrs now and I can't get anything but very small amounts of liquids past, tablets just reappear so does food. Does anyone have any ideas on how to help the chicken digest so that it will dislodge, although not as painful as when it first got stuck it still rates on the pain scale and my stomach keeps spasming intermittently. Thanks in advance...

Hi, Any help would so appreciated. I am 4 weeks post gastric bypass and the nutritionist said I could start with some steamed chicken so I did, but it's got stuck well and truly! It's been stuck now for 48hrs, in the beginning the pain was overwhelming and had me shaking uncontrollably but now it has eased to a dull ache with intermittent spasms, but I can't get anything but small amounts of liquids pass, tablets just reappear so does food. Well it's day 11 of 16 here..getting closer and closer! Things are so much easier that they were in the beginning, maybe I've gotten used to it or maybe I can see the light at the end of the tunnel. Here in Australia we are told to drink Optifast, so I drink 1-2 of those per day and in between I drink homemade sugar free iced sweet tea, and hot black tea. All is is going good. Sounds like everyone is going great! I am now on day 9 of 16 and things are much easier now. I am drinking a lot of my sweet tea but it has no sugar (liquid sweetener instead) and I gave my surgeon a ring and he was okay with the black tea in whatever volume I could consume lol so it's all good. I have to say I am starting to get nervous now, everything is payed for and arranged so it's just a waiting game.

Yeah I am on all liquids for 16 days to shrink my liver and clear me out lol but I am in Australia so things are a bit different here. Unfortunately it's school holidays here so I am stuck making 3 meals a day for 7 more days.

Hi, I am on day 5, I am doing okayish...the headaches have abated finally and I really only crave badly during the lunch period which I am thankful for as I am still having to cook 3 meals a day for my daughter who is home from school. My surgery is book for the 16th of this month so only 11 more days yay! Good luck everyone
