  1. This journey has been so incredible!! As I get closer to my goal weight I fill so proud of myself. when I compare before and after photo's I get emotional. 110 lbs gone and 65 to go i'm very excited to meet my goal.. Even with some bumps in my road i'd in a heartbeat without hesitation do this all over again!! I wish you a great success in your journeys!

  3. I guess it's been a little while since I've posted. I'm now 9 weeks post op I'm doing great over all. I'm finding that the only meat I really like is chicken all other meats don't go down well and taste very different to me. So I mainly eat veggies... I hope you all have had a great month and I wish you all a very Merry Christmas!!

  4. I will be so busy tomorrow so I wanted to take a moment and wish you all a very happy Thanksgiving!! I know the holidays can be hard and by far a huge adjustment for me this year but I hope that we can remember that the holidays are about being with our loved ones and making happy memories to cherish not just eat food!! <3

  6. Hi everyone I hope you all are doing well.. I am now 4 weeks 4 days post op and doing better, I did end up being hospitalized for a few very days I was dehydrated and had very low blood potassium which lead to some scary nights with dangerously low blood sugars because I was just unable to take anything in at all... i'm doing well now though moved on to the next stage of food puree and feeling amazing. I thank you all for your support and hope your doing fabulous in your own journeys. Bless you all!!

I am just now at 31 days and am feeling pretty great about things. Fortunately, I have had no complications and I'm so sorry to hear of yours, but glad you are better. Keep up the great work.

  7. I'm going on 3 weeks post op and suffering from really bad nausea. I'm not able to get anything in really and fear that I'm becoming dehydrate. I am on nausea medication but its just not helping. Any advice on how to maybe get in my liquids is needed!

first you need to tell your doctor so they are aware of this situation...SF popsicles can help with this as well as making a slushy of some sort.....and def take wee sips often..but most important, call and tell your doctor.

I have put in a message with my doctor's office still waiting for they to get back with me. I tried the SF popsicles but everything wants to come back up. :(

Sorry to hear. Hope you heard back from doctor and that you are feeling better.

  8. I had my first post op this post week and I'm down 22 lbs I was in tears. Over all doing well I am having low BP in the morning due to not getting in enough fluids. I have started on things like G2 to help out with that. I am up walking atleast a mile a day now. I'd say Im doing good just got to get those fluids in.

    Sleeved Oct 20th

I was sleeved on the 20th and I understand what you are saying its rough. walk as much as you can, very tiny sips gas x strips have really helped me. I know its frustrating at times, but I know its going to get better. I'm starting to be able to take in more fluids which I'm praying will help with my migraines. We can do this little steps every day we are one step closer to our goals. Good luck
  11. I just had my surgery Monday and suffered from this as well walk as much as you can. The gas X strips really did seem to help me too. They do try to remove as much of the gas as they can but can not always get it all out. It can be very painful. In other surgeries I've had laying flat and walking worked best. My current issue is getting in enough fluids so I don't have migraines otherwise I'm doing better. I wish you the best. Keep moving!!

  13. Had my surgery doing pretty well over all. gas pain so far is the worst! using gas x strips they seem to help.

      Chelly

I was going to suggest those.

I think they are the best to use and I happen to use them still on occasion to help me when I need it.

Walking as much as you can will help too to release the gas from your body.

Congratulations on doing this for yourself and the best of luck to you on your journey to a healthier and happy you.
