I'm not more hungry at meal times. Still eat small amounts but find myself wanting to snack between meals. I think it's boredom so I've started doing more during the day: scrapbooking, sewing whatever will keep me busy.
Winter has been horrible for my workout routine. I just can't make myself go out into the cold even if it's to go to the gym. I'm going this morning despite the rain. Then making it a habit again. My goal was to lose 50 more pounds this year and I'm nowhere near it.

We are all doing so well. I think we MUST always remember (even though its hard to ever be satisfied) where we were and were we are. a 100lbs lost is nothing to sneeze at. It takes true grit to do what we did. It still takes grit to keep going, right?

I had my year appointment a few days ago. It went well, my doctor remembered the chats we've had over the phone about my exhaustion which impressed me. I guess she could have been reading my charts but never the less it was nice to know that she was up to date. We reviewed my labs and they look good. Over the last couple months my energy levels have been up and getting to the gym is no longer the only thing I have energy for in a day.
The weight has started to come off again and for that I rejoice.
It's funny, when the doctor asked me if I was happy I had the surgery I started crying and said no. Since that conversation I've done much reflection and have since realized without the surgery I would still be diabetic and would probably be heavier than I was a year ago. There would be new medical problems coming my way. And I would always be that fat girl that people say would be pretty if she lost weight. Oh how I hated to hear that.
I'm going to catch up on my reading here on this thread I've been in my reflective state and I think coming out of a deep depression.
I hope when I read I find you all are well, happy and lighter.
I'm beginning year two with a bit of a different outlook then it's been for the last 6 months. I'm not scared of the future infact I'm looking forward to it. This is a new feeling and I hope it sticks.

Thank you ladies...my brother is doing alright I guess. He's still really lost, so I've been searching for recipes for him.
I went to my nut again the other day, I lost the 5 lbs of the 7 I gained! She said she thinks my body was in starvation mode because I wasn't eating enough. So I upped my calories a little bit and have been making more healthier choices. And an NSV...I went to Six Flags today, and got to ride all the rides I got on! When I was there 2 yrs ago, I had to get off because I couldn't buckle or fit in the seats. Woo-hoo!

Hey fellow warriors! I haven't been on here in a while, but have read everyone's posts.
Luna, hope your brother gets some help and not feel so lost.
So guess what I've decided to do? Go to college! I never went after high school. I got married at 19 and started working right away, then had babies and well, here we are! I've wanted to be a nurse FOREVER, but low self esteem and fear (and a mean ex-husband) always held me back. I have a super supportive fiancé now and my self esteem is at a high, So I start the 24th and I'm scared to death! I'm just starting with a couple classes, and it's going to take me forever because I still have to work full time too. My 18yr old son will be going to the same school, so I have strict rules to not acknowledge that I know him, LOL!
Still doing well with eating and exercise. We've been doing a lot of bike riding, loving it!
I think of you all often!!!
We're getting ready to head out for our 2 15yr olds' birthday lunch, so I'd better go get ready!

Just got back from an all inclusive vacation to Punta Cana, DR. And, it started off with lots of bad habits - example - alcohol and then the need for nachos. After 2 days, the Bariatric Gods intervened and I got sick.... Let's just say I met a guy named "John".... I spent two days in the bathroom.... After that, no more alcohol. I did have more bread than normal just to settle stomach. (I'm not really a bread person so you know it was necessary). Anyway, I ended up loosing 6 pounds on vacation!!!! Lol. Now that I'm home, I'm back on track!
A few NSV - no extender for the airplane seatbelt, size 16-18 clothing including " sexy" dresses. And, a rather attractive Dominican telling me I had gorgeous legs!

I have a fitbit and average 5000 steps a day. I use fitness pal and eat 1000 to 1200 calories a day. Seldom eat carbs and get my 60 grams of Protein in. I go to the gym 4 times a week. I do 20 minutes cardio then rotate strength training between upper and lower body. I did just change the cardio to half in the beginning and half at the end of my work out to see if that shakes things up a bit.
My body is changing and I have dropped a jeans size. My skin doesn't sag and cellulite is going away. So there are pluses. I am just dying to see the scale move.

Haven't been on here lately because I haven't had good news to share. I've been in the same stall for months and is starting to effect me via depression. Just hanging on.
I do enjoy reading about your successes and I will try and get in here more often.

I am celebrating my birthday today with my family. SO excited because I am going out to dinner for Maryland crabs, a favorite of mine. Probably one crab will be all I can eat but that will make me happy anyway. I MUSt stay away form hush puppies, they are like fried corn bread nuggets. Too much oil/sweetness and I do not want to get sick. Fortunately, eating crabs is a slow process and that plays well in my favor. By the way, eating too fast is my number one issue since surgery.
I decided to buy an outfit yesterday just to boost today's celebration. Found a really nice dress and tried a few sizes and the usual, nope too big need a size down still goes on. For whatever reason I have a hard time believing I am that small. Yes, I still walked around the Women's section. The size dress that fit best was a 10. Imagine that a size 10. The fabric is a little stretchy but for a fitted dress, it's a dream come true.
