  1. I would find out why they don't cover. Mine did and if you do have complications insurance will not cover that's the big problem. It can get really expensive. With out insurance mine would have been 20,000. Good luck
  2. I came home the day after surgery and they told me liquid diet for 3 weeks.
  3. Did they give you breathing treatments in the hospital? They gave me 3 they said it was important so I don't get hospital ammonia. I thought that was scary
  4. I did get 2 shots at the hospital. I have discomfort drinking the protein shake but managed to get it down with a bottle of water today. I think that's all I can do today. I'm starting to get the gas pains now that I have read before
  5. Call the dr and ask for something else maybe. The morphine drip was amazing at the hospital but the norco works for me everyone is different. Maybe a oxycodone or vicadine might be better.
  6. Just checking to see how the progress was going? Mine has been pretty good so far but don't want to jinx it. Just a little pain and still sipping slowly.

  8. That's great I'm 2 days out and have the issue on the right not really painful but it does bug me. So happy I did this the recovery has been a lot less painful then I thought. I really expected the worst.

  10. I'm 2 days post op I was able to leave after 1 day I walked a lot and sipped and asked for a lot of nausea meds cause I felt that way too. I'm home now and feel so much better. Good luck once you get home I'm sure you will feel better
  11. The wait is almost over so excited and nervous I just dont know how Im going to sleep tonight.
  12. I have a co pay of 1600 no matter what and thats with a PPO hopefully its not that much for you
  13. Its pretty sad when a protein shake sounds good actually it sounds amazing right now Im in california so drinking hot chicken broth is nasty right now Im going to now just drink tons of cold water to fill me up.
  14. Same here my stomach is growling and I am making lunch and dinner for my family as im sipping on broth. Im so ready for tomorrow wish I could just go to sleep and wake up and tomorrow is here. Stay stong

Im nervous too Im on Tuesday as well I actually feel really good being on this liquid diet tommorow will be harder since its all clear and I cant have the Protein shakes but 24 hrs will go by so fast. Im scheduled for 7:30 am on Tuesday and cant wait till Tuesday afternoon when all this will be over. Good Luck
  17. I started back in May and had an insurance denial then was approved I am getting sleeved on Oct 14th. Honestly once the insurance is approved everything else goes really fast. I was scheduled for surgery 2 weeks after approval good luck
  18. 2 more days to go and Im actually now getting full off of a protein shake I have lost 8 pounds in 5 days Im finally feeling more and more certain this was the best choice I have made for myself in a long time.
  19. I am ready for the 14th already I am ready for the change and to be on a liquid diet because I actually get full not cause I have to shrink my liver and be hungry all day. Only 3 more days

  21. I have been doing 2 shakes from costco called Priemer they are pretty good and then chicken stock 1 cup and 1 cup Water then adding 1/2 the seasoning packet from top romain soup its amazing for my later snack is frozen Jello.

  23. Getting nervous got the all clear from pre op now on the 7 day liquid diet. This has been a long journey I started back in May and was denied by insurance once then the second time I was approved. Im looking forward to the future journey
  24. Im going for my 3rd blood test today then have the Dr appointment tomorrow so we will see how it comes out. After all that this process takes emotionaly out of you to have this happen will be devistating. I have never had high white blood cells as I can think of this is new to me.
  25. Has anyone had issues with their Primary Care Dr not approving them of surgery? I have been approved from my Insurace, had my pre op and am scheduled for Oct 14th surgery, but my Primary is concerned my white blood cells are high and this could prevent me from surgery. Everything else was ok and I was only 1 point off of the normal rate
