  1. I was denied the first time and was devistated dont give up if you are its a process. Im 30 pounds down in 4 weeks and am so happy I stayed strong and continued the process. I never wanted to be over weight either it was a battle I was dealing with since I was a kid and now at 34 Im finally making the change to become healther and happier. Good Luck
  2. You sound just like me Im 5'8 but lost less then you have Im at 252 and tomorrow is my 1 month out as well. So dont be down you have passed me up. You lost more on the pre op part I did not, Im still trying to eat I seem to only get a Protein shake in and then like 2 tablespoon of Beans or cottage cheese. How is the eating part for you going?
  3. Good luck on your surgery it will go by so fast Im a month out and I forgot all about the pain and pre op diet Im just waiting for the incisions to look better.
  4. It has been easy for me as well its just the incision healing Im struggling with and the food part. I actually rather stay on liquids because food just sits in my esophogus. I wish I had done this 4 years ago when I was struggling with me weight instead of being depressed the whole time.
  5. Im 4 weeks out and hate the way food goes down so I just drink Protein shakes. I have been able to do Beans and eggs but thats it. Im not hungry so I have to really think about the protein to stay heathy otherwise Im just drinking Water because I am so thirsty all the time.
  6. Well it happend to me this week my boyfriend of a year and a half broke up and its only been 4 weeks since my surgery. Bascially he said I was going to get skinny and leave him so he decided to do it now and not later. I was so mad since he was my supporter in all this. Now Its back to online dating I guess ugh so frustrating. But at least now I can start all over with someone new
  7. You have done so great I cant wait to be at goal. When I did Weight Watchers the McDonalds Cheeseburger was only 7 points which is not alot so in that sense I dont think you would gain weight back Im not sure on the stretching that is a good question. I have had the sleeve now for 4 weeks and I love the fact I eat 2 tablespoons of Beans and im stuffed.
  8. You will love it I wish I would have done it 2 years prior., I was 250 then worked out and did WW for a year lost 50 then gained it all back plus 30. I was so happy when I finally made the choice to do this as I have lost 26 lbs and cant wait to keep on loosing. Good luck
  9. I have a question I have seen similar post to this about band to sleeve, how come you have to get a revision did the band not work? if not why? I was originally going for the band but my dr said no to do the sleeve so I just agreed with him. Should I be happy I did not get the band?
  10. Im glad you surgery went so well. Whats odd is how every dr and hosipital is different. I was not allowed any Water or tea or even ice chips after my surgery for 24 hrs. I was so thirsty they actaully watched me drink some water and spit it out. You are so lucky to beable to do that right away I was misrable
  11. Im so sorry that this has happened to you, maybe you can get a second opinion from another dr to help you. I am 4 weeks out and still prefer liquid as eating is just not comfortable. Take Care
  12. I found Preimier shakes at costco pretty affordable and they are good. I got vanilla but i think they have chocolate too. also chicken broth with a packet of the top ramin seasing packet is pretty good thats what I lived on for a week. After the surgery your going to be on liquid anyways so its good to get use to what works and what you like. Im almost 4 weeks out and still prefer liquid to eating since it is not a good feeling afterwards.
  13. I had to do a 1 week liquid diet before my surgery to shrink my Liver and it was really hard but I did it because I knew if I did not do it then they would cancel my surgery. I was still hungry dont get me wrong and yours is longer but the idea of loosing weight or in my case shrink my liver I would do what ever it took. It was hard but the Protein shakes do help and I lost 8 pounds in that one week. So my thought for you is if you can do the Protein Shakes 2xs a day then a small meal then you should loose in a month vs 3 months. Good luck and remember its all worth it Im down 26 pounds since Oct 14th and I always see these sayings which is inspiring is nothing feels as good as being healthy and happy.
  14. I have not been to a meeting I just have used this as a way to get incouragement and read others stories and chimed in in when it relates to myslef.
  15. It took me 6 months to get through the process just be patient it will all work out.
  16. I had a 10% deductable so it cost me 1600 bucks on top of the 1,000 out of pocket I had to get to for the year in order to reach that 10% covered. It was money I did not have but its better then the 20,000 oop
  17. I was fighting a cold before my surgery and they knew it because when I did blood work my White blood cells were high which tells them my body was fighting something off. It lasted a week and then i was tested again and was cleared for surgery, but if they did not go down I was going to have to reschudele per my dr. Good luck and feel better
  18. My process took 6 months I started back in May and had my surgery in October. good Luck
  19. I just started having side pain on my right side where I did not have it before. Im 3 weeks out and thought I should be feeling better not worse. Its so stange
  20. I started the process early May of this year that after I found out my insurance convered me. From May till September it was pretty much waiting to get approved I did all the appointments that needed to be done and was denied once. After I was approved 6 months later of waiting it only took 2 weeks for a surgery date. I am now 3 weeks post op and 25 pounds lighter and am happy I waiting and had the patients to do so. Good luck
  21. Thats a great idea Im hooked on the vanilla that I drink 2xs daily that sounds like a great sweets idea when I get a little craving at night. I really like these shakes they have almost everything you need and fill you up for awhile
  22. Congrats Im 3 weeks out from surgery and waiting for that moment I can take a selfie and feel accomplished
  23. I took 2 weeks but could have went back after 1 week. The worst part is the first few days after that its not a big deal. I have had other surgeries way worse. Such as implants, wisdom teeth and pregnancy
  24. I took 2 weeks off and was ok to go back the third week but I am tired and one of my incisions opened up so Im not feeling really well now and Im almost 4 weeks out. Everyone is different good luck
  25. I have been in your position back in May it all will work out. I was denied and then approved not Im 3 weeks out and the stress is still on me but knowing I have made this one step to being healthier really helps me mentally. Good Luck
