Insurance run around

I've met with my primary who agrees I'm a good candidate for sleeve. She put in the referral for nutritionist and psych. Have appointments set up for Monday and today(Friday) was told I did not have insurance authorization for those appointment yet.

I had such good forward momentum going and now it's come to a screeching halt. Any hope of me having surgery in 2014 is gone. :-(

@@GoGoNiner One thing that you're going to need to learn quick, fast, and in a hurry is PATIENCE! This pre-op journey will try every nerve that you have, but you must keep your eye on the prize! Don't set yourself up for major letdowns or crash and burns. Realize that this is something that will come with some time and patience as long as you stick with it.

Be sure to read these boards everyday if possible. There are a lot of wonderful people here that will keep you motivated and positive!

Best of luck to you my dear…. Michelle

What insurance do you have? I'd call them and find out what they require directly from them. I would by go their rules and make sure you get your ducks in a row

I have Easy Choice in CA. They have laid it out for me and I understand the process. Just waiting for approval to see my specialist appointment to complete before I am allowed to see the surgeon.

Seems like there will be about 4-6 approvals before surgery happens.
